  • Patent number: 7409789
Abstract: A pair of sign support frames connected to a sign with upright member has upright reinforcement bars secured to arch or base members. The bars are associated with the upright members to reinforce the upright and arch members in motor vehicle impact areas above the arch members. When the upright members are hit with a motor vehicle the sign support frames move upwardly and rearwardly into engagement with the bumper or front frame of the motor vehicle to limit rearward movement of the sign toward the motor vehicle and reduce bending and breaking forces on the upright members and sign support frames.

  • Patent number: 5318258
Abstract: A portable collapsible highway sign stand for standard rollup and rigid warning, regulatory and informational signs. An elongated vertical rigid sign-supporting mast is supported by a multi-legged base. The legs are pivotally supported for movement from a first folded position parallel to the mast to a second position in which the legs are splayed outwardly and secured in place by a single central retainer pin. A sign mounting jaw including a first fixed outer jaw and a slidable inner jaw member is secured to the top of the mast. A mast tilt adjuster is incorporated to adapt use of the sign stand to non-level terrain.

  • Patent number: 5309862
Abstract: A flag holder for attachment to a standard highway sign, for holding a pair of symmetrically arrayed warning flags at the top of the sign, and for permitting the flags to be folded downwardly for transport and storage. When used on roll-up highway signs the flags may be rolled up along with the roll-up sign. The holder includes an elongated rigid holder body which is adapted for attachment adjacent the top of a standard rigid or roll-up highway warning sign. Attachment is by means of bolts in the case of a rigid sign, or at least one clamp attached to the body for fixedly securing the body to the strut or brace of a roll-up sign. A pair of elongated flag staffs are pivotally attached at one end to the holder body and each has a flexible warning flag at the other end.

  • Patent number: 5088666
Abstract: A lawn and garden hose anchor is disclosed which comprises a first elongated soil-engaging straight spindle member adapted to be inserted vertically into the ground, and a second hose-engaging member integral therewith and offset laterally with a hose-engaging loop. Two forms of hose-engaging loop are disclosed for anchoring either flat cross section soaker-type hose or conventional circular cross section hose. The first of these is a relatively flat clip or clamp. The other is a single loop helix having a straight end segment extending tangentially upward spaced from and generally parallel to the spindle.
