  • Patent number: 9290083
Abstract: A vehicle glass run system includes an inner panel that is coupled to a ring frame. The inner panel, as coupled to the ring frame, defines an assembly. The inner panel exhibits a first tolerance, wherein the assembly of the inner panel and ring frame exhibits a second tolerance. The second tolerance is greater than the first tolerance. Both the inner panel and ring frame include flange portions which are coupled together, and both include a distal end. The distal end of the inner panel is disposed outboard of the distal end of the ring frame. A glass run reinforcement member is located to the distal end of the inner panel in assembly, such that the glass run reinforcement member is subject only to the first tolerance of the inner panel.

  • Patent number: 9281934
Abstract: Systems and methods for recovering clock and data from a data input signal are disclosed that sample a plurality of clock phase signals with the data input signal to determine a timing relationship between the data input signal and the clock phase signals and use the determined to timing relationship to select one of the clock phase signals to use for sampling the data input signal to produce recovered data. The CDR can include a glitch suppression module to suppress glitches on the clock output signal that could be caused by large instantaneous jitter on the data input signal. A clock and data recovery circuit (CDR) using these methods can quickly lock to a new data input signal and can reliably receive data when there is large instantaneous timing jitter on the data input signal.

  • Publication number: 20160048537
Abstract: System and computer-implemented method of analyzing tags associated with a sequence of images presented to a user to present a current interest of the user is disclosed. An image from among a plurality of images is presented on an electronic display. The image is associated with a set of tags. An input is received indicating a user's preference for the image. A plurality of tags is processed based on the preference and the set of tags to determine a next set of tags from the plurality of tags. A next image is determined from the plurality of images based on the next set of tags. The next image represents a physical object, different from a physical object represented by the previous image. A sequence of images is generated by repeating the above process with the next image in place of the previous image for present a user's current interest.

  • Publication number: 20150209003
Abstract: A process for visualization of a needle in an ultrasound image comprises defining a region of an ultrasound image in which a body of a needle is expected using a needle tracking system to predict the location of the needle. The process also includes assigning a probability to a plurality of pixels within the region of the ultrasound image of being representative of the body of the needle, and modifying the display of each pixel having an assigned probability within a predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 8743116
Abstract: A system and methods for providing shading effects include a shading network possessing the ability to create, maintain, and incrementally evolve shading techniques and effects. The shader network provides the ability to encapsulate CPU and GPU code into a self-contained node that can be transported between renderers. As a result, authors can develop reusable shading techniques that can express the wide range of effects available via utilization of CPU and GPU code. The shader network also provides the capability to compose multiple nodes into a reusable “macro” node that affords authors the ability to build derivative shading effects without the need to modify an application's renderer or constituent nodes.

  • Patent number: 8661158
Abstract: A client computer hosts a virtual private network tool to establish a virtual private network connection with a remote network. Upon startup, the virtual private network tool collects critical network information for the client computer, and sends this critical network information to an address assignment server in the remote network. The address assignment server compares the critical network information with a pool of available addresses in the remote network, and assigns addresses for use by the client computer that do not conflict with the addresses for local resources. The address assignment server also provides routing information for resources in the remote network to the virtual private network tool. The virtual private network tool will postpone loading this routing information into the routing tables of the client computer until the client computer requests access to a specific resource in the remote network.

  • Publication number: 20130139072
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for enabling the development and execution of applications that employ a composited application model. A composited application includes components that are to be executed in different runtimes. Accordingly, an application developer can leverage different runtimes within a single application. A managing runtime is used to manage the various runtimes used by a composited application. The managing runtime performs input redirection to route user input to the appropriate runtime and output compositing to composite each runtime's user interface components into a single seamless scene.

  • Patent number: 8425573
Abstract: A guide tool having a through bore and at least one distal locating feature is provided. The distal locating feature of the guide tool is placed into a predetermined relationship with the plate. A fastener is engaged with a distal end of a driver shaft of a fastener driver. The fastener driver has a driver orientation means associated with the driver shaft. The fastener is inserted into the through bore of the guide tool with the fastener driver. The driver orientation means is mated with a guide orientation means located in the through bore of the guide tool. At least a portion of the fastener is inserted through the fastener hole. The fastener is secured into the bone through actuation of the fastener driver. The fastener driver is withdrawn from the guide tool, which is withdrawn from the plate.
