  • Patent number: 11041206
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of assessing whether an individual is at high risk or low risk of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) progression by determining the expression level of two or more genes in a whole blood sample. Also provided are methods for treating IBD in an individual who is determined to be at high risk or low risk for IBD progression, and kits for assessing whether an individual is at high risk or low risk for IBD progression. Arrays, and methods of providing arrays, of patient-identified selected gene expression products from a whole blood sample of a patient are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20190284531
Abstract: The application relates to methods of assessing whether an individual has an exhausted CD8+ T cell or lack of CD4+ T cell costimulation phenotype, and the use of such methods in determining an individual's risk of autoimmune disease progression, progression of a chronic infection, not responding to a treatment for a chronic infection, not mounting an effective immune response to vaccination, infection-associated immunopathology, transplant rejection, or cancer progression.

  • Patent number: 7478932
Abstract: A headlamp assembly for a motor vehicle having a light source, a chamber that receives the light source and a cooling channel for removing heat from the chamber. A conductive wall and an insulating wall cooperate to define the chamber and the channel. The conductive wall has a substantially higher thermal conductivity than the insulating wall to promote the heat exchange between the chamber and the cooling channel and to reduce heat exchange between the cooling channel and the relatively hot engine compartment.

  • Patent number: 7249868
Abstract: A lamp system having a housing, wall portions defining a cavity and an opening. A light source, generally an LED, is located within the cavity and at least one thermoelectric device is disposed in one of the wall portions. The thermoelectric device has a first side oriented towards the cavity and the second side oriented away from the cavity. When in operation, the thermoelectric device will transfer heat from inside the cavity, via the first side of the thermoelectric device, to the second side of the thermoelectric device.
