    Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes developing an initial value stream map for a process, identifying a plurality of entities to be monitored during completion of the process based on the initial value stream map, and determining an initial layout of the process based on the plurality of entities to be monitored. The method also includes providing the initial layout of the process on a metallic display board, and placing magnetic elements corresponding to the plurality of entities on the initial layout to describe the process.
