  • Publication number: 20240098722
Abstract: A method of managing carrier aggregation for a multi-radio access technology (RAT) wireless transmitter/receiver unit (WTRU) is disclosed. The method may include: receiving, by the WRTU over a primary channel associated with a RAT of a first type, provisioning information for provisioning a supplementary channel associated with a RAT of a second type; establishing the supplementary channel associated with the RAT of the second type based on the received provisioning information; and wirelessly exchanging, by the WRTU, first data associated with a communication over the primary channel via the RAT of the first type, while wireless exchanging second data associated with the communication over the supplementary channel via the RAT of the second type.

  • Publication number: 20240080142
Abstract: Method, apparatus, and systems for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) enhancement in wireless communications are disclosed. In one representative embodiment, a method implemented in a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) for wireless communications includes identifying a codebook process from a set of codebook processes based on a first indication, associating a set of bits of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback with the identified codebook process, maintaining the set of bits associated with the identified codebook process based on a condition, receiving a second indication to transmit the set of bits associated with the identified codebook process, and transmitting the set of bits based on the second indication.

  • Patent number: 11924075
Abstract: Systems and methods are contemplated for reconfiguration of one or more MAC instances while the WTRU is operating using dual- or multi-MAC instance connectivity. For example, upon reception of RRC reconfiguration information that modifies one or more secondary MAC instances, the WTRU may transmit a reconfiguration complete message to a Macro eNB (MeNB) and may synchronize to small-cell or secondary eNB (SeNB), for example if triggered by one or more of an RRC flag, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) order (MeNB/SeNB), MAC activation information, etc. For example, the WTRU may synchronize to the SeNB for specific type(s) of RRC reconfigurations, but not other type(s) of RRC reconfigurations. Although examples may be described in terms of dual connectivity, the WTRU may establish connectivity and perform mobility procedures with more than two radio access network (RAN) nodes (e.g., eNBs), and the embodiments described may be equally applicable to those scenarios.

  • Patent number: 11916709
Abstract: Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are for identifying, determining, or selecting one or more numerologies in a wireless system. The numerologies may include one or more of a subcarrier spacing, a transmission duration, a symbol duration, a number of symbols, or a cyclic prefix (CP) size. The WTRU may send an access request indicating the identified, determined, or selected one or more numerologies. The access request may be a random access channel (RACH) request or a scheduling request (SR). The WTRU may monitor one or more search spaces for one or more physical control channels. The search spaces may be monitored based on an identified, determined, or selected one or more numerologies. Within one of the search spaces, the WTRU may receive and successfully decode a physical control channel. The WTRU may transmit data based on the numerology associated with the search space in which the physical channel was successfully decoded.

  • Publication number: 20220132450
Abstract: A system and method enabling precise range estimation and time synchronization between a first object such as a vehicle having a primary communications mechanism and an interconnected first controller, and a second object having a secondary communications mechanism and an interconnected second controller. The primary sends communications into the environment and the secondary receives them; the secondary then sends replies to the primary. The communications have information for determining range between the two objects and for comparing the second object's internal clock with a more accurate clock of the first object. Repeated exchanges of communications between the two objects enables additional precision of range as well as time synchronization information.

  • Patent number: 10059383
Abstract: A motor coach comprises a front door, a front stairwell, an upper aisleway, upper seats, a side door and a mobility impaired area. The front stairwell leads from the front door. The upper aisleway leads from the front stairwell. The upper aisleway is generally at the level of the top of the upper stairwell. The upper seats are along the upper aisleway. The side door may be lower than or at the same height as the front door, and leads to the mobility impaired area, which is inside and generally at the level of the bottom of the side door. The upper aisleway, upper seats, and mobility impaired area are all together in one unified passenger compartment while separated by differences of location of doors for loading and heights of floors. Numerous advantages flow, including but not limited to the following: loading and unloading times for mobility impaired passengers are substantially improved, especially as compared to typical high floor, wheelchair lift equipped coaches.
