Publication number: 20240167954Abstract: Devices and methods are described for a contrast tray and framing devices for use with imagers. Some embodiments describe a contrast tray for use with an imager comprising one or more light diffusing layers configured to shift at least some of an imaging light and one or more light filtering layers configured to filter out at least some of the imaging light. Light diffusing and light filtering layers can be further configured to upconvert at least some of the diffused and/or non-filtered light. Contrast trays can be used to improve imaging of gels such as PAGE gels when using a green or blue-green light. Other embodiments of the disclosure describe a framing device that provides better illumination and lower background fluorescence for fluorescent gels, such as nucleic acid gels.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 30, 2023Publication date: May 23, 2024Applicants: Pierce Biotechnology, Inc., Life Technologies Holdings PTE LimitedInventors: Janaki Narahari, Aaron McBride, Chee Wai Chan, Gregory Kilmer, Paul Haney, Beng Heng Lim, Serina Perry, Soo Yong Lau, Zhixiong Tay, Yu Soon Su, Wei Guang Lee

Patent number: 11305936Abstract: A configurable modular robotic autonomous guided vehicle having an engine module and multiple different ones of selectably interchangeable logistic or material handling accessory modules. The engine module has motors, sensors and a control system integrated with each other for autonomous navigation freely throughout a travel area forming a logistic space. A module interface is located at one end of the engine module for modular coupling of the engine module with a handling accessory module of the vehicle. Each of the handling accessory modules has a different predetermined logistic or material handling characteristic that on integral coupling with the engine module define a different logistic or material handling autonomous guided vehicle type. Selectable coupling of the handling accessory module with the engine module configures the vehicle so as to change the vehicle type from a first vehicle type to a second vehicle type different than the first vehicle type.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2019Date of Patent: April 19, 2022Assignee: Autoguide, LLCInventors: Robert Sullivan, Justin Holwell, Paul Perry, William Fannin

Publication number: 20140050423Abstract: A biodegradable lawn waste collection system is provided. The system generally includes a waste receiver, a shaping insert, and a handle. The waste receiver may comprise a mesh structure having a filling end and a sealing end. The mesh structure may be formed from a biodegradable polymer composition. The shaping insert is configured for removable reception within the filling end of the waste receiver. The shaping insert provides the waste receiver with rigidity and stability when filling the waste receiver with lawn waste. After the waste receiver has been filled with lawn waste, the shaping inert is removed and the filling end is secured, such as by tying a knot. The full waste receiver is then releasably attached to the handle, which enables the full waste receiver to be easily carried or dragged to a desired destination.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2013Publication date: February 20, 2014Applicant: Green Bag, LLCInventors: Brent Lee Burchfield, Ryan Scott Crisp, Eric James Fickas, Paul Perry Kolada, Michael Anthony Lorenz, Donald Collins Meves, Shannon Staats, Herman Jones
