Abstract: A method and system for intelligent bit recovery identifies toggling bits, which change in value from one read to the next, and examines a subset of potential bit patterns. The subset is a fraction of the potential bit patterns, and is based on an understanding of the flash memory and the problems that may cause the toggling bits. The intelligent bit recovery may analyze at least one aspect of the flash memory to identify a problem, or plurality of problems, that is potentially causing the toggling bits, and to select the subset of potential bit patterns as potential solutions. The subset of potential bit patterns examined by the intelligent bit recovery is a small fraction of the entire set of potential bit patterns.

Abstract: A method for minimizing delays in web conference switches between presenters and applications may include receiving a key frame of content selected by a user for sharing in response to the user being a presenter and having content to share. The method may also include storing the key frame of the selected content in a buffer in response to the user not being a current presenter. The method may additionally include sharing the key frame of the content with participants of the web conference, by the processing device, in response to an indication that a previous presenter has completed his presentation and the user being a next presenter in a presenter queue.

Abstract: A microfracture pick having features configured to aid a user in advancing the microfracture pick through bone. The microfracture pick has an elongated member with a proximal end, a distal end, a sharp, optionally angled tip disposed adjacent the distal end of the elongated member, and at least one engaging feature disposed at one or more locations on the elongated member for engaging a complementary feature of a strike instrument. By striking an impact surface of the strike instrument, the user can produce a force that is translated via the elongated member of the microfracture pick through the tip, thereby making penetration of the tip through the bone more effective.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, a method may include measuring a first capacitance of a sample at a first frequency using a measurement system, measuring a second capacitance of the sample at a second frequency using the measurement system, calculating a ratio of the first capacitance to the second capacitance, and determining a formation water resistivity or conductivity of the sample using the ratio.

Abstract: A dental protocol for creating an osteotomy for an implant is disclosed. A first drill is selected having a tip to create a pilot hole in the bone surface of a patient. The first drill includes a first boring section to create a bore hole for a second drill and a second boring section to create a coronal area on the hole near the bone surface. A first drill hole is created on the bone surface having a depth compatible with the length of the implant with the first drill and a coronal area. A second drill for creating a second hole having a width compatible with the body of the implant is selected. A second drill hole is created on the bone surface with the second drill.

Abstract: A report link with security permissions is provided that generates a report personalized to a user's security permissions on-demand. A report service providing the functionality of a business intelligence system can create a uniform resource locator (URL) for a report. The URL may be generated to reference an application server, a report name, and a report identifier. An output file type can be passed through the URL to indicate how the report is to be viewed. A same report link may be distributed to users having different security permissions, while being used to render different viewable reports according to each user's permissions. When a client requests a report located at the URL, the report service performs a check of the roles/permissions of the user and arranges the report view for the user by combining sections of the report snapshot according to the roles/permissions of the client.

Abstract: A conveyor system for re-orienting strips of laminated corrugated board which includes: a first conveyor assembly; and a second conveyor assembly, wherein the first conveyor assembly conveys a plurality of adjacent strips having an upright orientation to the second conveyor assembly; wherein the second conveyor assembly includes a conveyor belt configured to convey the plurality of adjacent strips at a faster speed to that at which the strips are delivered to the second conveyor assembly by the first conveyor assembly; and wherein the acceleration of each strip upon contacting the second conveyor assembly causes that strip to move away from the adjacent strip and tip over from the upright orientation to a flat orientation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an adhesive gap sealing tape for sealing the air gaps between the edges of adjacent panels or structural elements against which they abut, the tape comprising a backing having an adhesive layer on one surface and an elongate strip of foam material extending lengthwise along the adhesive layer. In one embodiment, the elongate strip of foam material extending lengthwise along the adhesive layer is provided along a central portion of said adhesive layer. In this arrangement, the portions of backing which extend widthwise beyond the edges of the elongate strip of foam material are foldable to provide foldable flaps which are adapted to overlap and adhere to the respective sides of a panel or structural element so that the foam strip is securable against the edge of said panel or structural element and is sealed on all its sides.

A system for replacing personal information in an interact post with a number of trackback identifiers, the system comprising a processor, a discovery module, and a trackback generation module, in which the discovery module, when executed on the processor, searches through text within a post for any personal information associated with a first user, and in which the trackback generation module, when executed on the processor, replaces any identified personal information with the number of trackback identifiers before the information is posted to the internet.
