  • Publication number: 20150175492
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the preparation an emulsion of elemental sulphur particles, said process comprising the steps of: (a) providing a first stream comprising a liquid fertilizer and/or a liquid fertilizer precursor; (b) providing a second stream comprising liquid elemental sulphur; and (c) mixing the first stream and the second stream in a mixing device in the presence of a multifunctional ionic surfactant to form an emulsion comprising elemental sulphur particles which are coated with a layer of the multifunctional ionic surfactant and dispersed in the fertilizer and/or the fertilizer precursor, whereby a temperature is applied which maintains the elemental sulphur substantially in the liquid form in the mixing device. The invention further provides an elemental sulphur-containing fertilizer obtainable by a process according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 8868631
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for processing a signal, in particular a digital audio signal, suitable for being implemented by a digital signal processor (DSP) having libraries for calculating Fourier transforms from the complex number space to the complex number space, for digitally processing P input signals, P being an integer at least equal to 2, more particularly for filtering said P input signals by the convolution of sampled fast Fourier transforms (FFT), thus obtaining Q output signals, Q being an integer at least equal to 2.

  • Patent number: 8735607
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of an alkylene carbonate by the reaction of an alkylene oxide with carbon dioxide in the presence of a phosphonium catalyst in which process (a) the alkylene oxide, carbon dioxide and phosphonium catalyst are continuously introduced into a reaction zone from which a product stream containing alkylene carbonate and phosphonium catalyst is withdrawn; (b) alkylene carbonate and a stream containing phosphoniura catalyst are separated from the product stream; (c) the alkylene carbonate, separated in step (b), is recovered as product; and (d) the stream containing phosphoniura catalyst, separated in step (b), is recycled to the reaction zone, in which process a treatment of alkylene carbonate and/or catalyst with a sorption agent comprising carbon is carried out.
