  • Publication number: 20170120467
Abstract: In a hair grooming appliance, a head is detachably mountable on a handle having a motor and a receptacle configured to receive at least a portion of the head therein when the head is mounted on the handle with the head in operative connection with the motor. The handle has a first attachment member positioned at least partially within the receptacle and arranged to detachably engage the head when the at least a portion of the head is inserted into the receptacle and a second attachment member positioned at least partially within the receptacle and arranged to engage the head when the at least a portion of the head is inserted into the receptacle. The second attachment member is a different type of attachment member than the first attachment member. In a particular embodiment, the hair grooming appliance is a shaver.

  • Patent number: 9614777
Abstract: One example provides a network device including a queue to receive frames from a source, a processor, and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory stores instructions causing the processor, after execution of the instructions by the processor, to determine whether a flow control threshold of the queue has been exceeded, and in response to determining that the flow control threshold of the queue has been exceeded, generate a message to be sent to the source of the frame that exceeded the flow control threshold. The message includes a pause duration for which the source is to stop transmitting frames.

  • Publication number: 20170070473
Abstract: A method may include determining whether a host destination address of a packet received at a particular switch of a switching fabric is associated with a virtual switch address. In response to a determination that the host destination address is associated with the virtual switch address, the method may also include encapsulating the packet with the virtual switch address as a destination fabric address, where the virtual switch address is associated with a virtual switch including a first physical switch and a second physical switch. The method may further include selecting one of the first physical switch and the second physical switch as a routing path. The method may further include routing the packet to the selected physical switch based on the virtual switch address and transmitting the packet from the selected physical switch to a client switch.

  • Publication number: 20170019299
Abstract: A machine may generate and store a correlation among multiple identifiers of the user that enable access to an application through multiple systems. For example, the user may have a first identifier for using a first social network system, and a second identifier for using a second social network system, and the machine may generate and store a correlation between the first identifier and the second identifier. The machine may identify the user based on the first identifier and access a database that stores the correlation. The machine may then access a configuration of the application based on the correlation and configure the application in accordance with the configuration. The machine may generate a visual representation of the configured application, provide the visual representation to a device of a further user, receive an indication of an opinion of the further user on the visual representation, and present the indication.

  • Patent number: 9541505
Abstract: The advantageous embodiments provide an apparatus for identifying anomalies on an object comprising a sensor system and an analysis process. The sensor system is configured to detect a presence of the object, identify a speed of travel for the object, and determine a scan rate for the object using the speed of travel to generate scan results. The analysis process is configured to analyze the scan results and determine whether a number of maintenance anomalies are detected on the object using the scan results.

  • Patent number: 9439407
Abstract: A fishing lure for attracting fish species, the fishing lure comprising a body, a first pivot on the body, a second pivot on the body and spaced from the first pivot. A bridge is between the first pivot and the second pivot, the bridge resiliently deformable from a neutral position to a forward position. A pivot arm extends from the first pivot and is operably coupled to the bridge so that deformation of the bridge towards the forward position causes the pivot arm to rotate in a first direction and resilient recovery of the bridge towards the neutral position causes the pivot arm to rotate in a second direction, opposite to the first direction, providing a simulated action of a limb. The body maybe formed to represent a bait species such as a frog, fish, bug, insect, crab, turtle, lizard, fly, cicada, dragonfly, squid, cuttlefish or imaginary creature.

  • Patent number: 9418496
Abstract: The advantageous embodiments provide a method for identifying anomalies on an object. The advantageous embodiments detect a presence of the object in a control area using a sensor system. In response to detecting the presence of the object in the control area, the object is identified using the sensor system. Scan priorities are identified for the object using the sensor system. The object is scanned while the object is within the control area to form scan results. The scan results are analyzed and a determination is made as to whether a number of maintenance anomalies are detected on the object using the scan results.

  • Patent number: 9327196
Abstract: A system, computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program, and a computer-implemented method are provided for displaying feed-based information in an online game. Player feeds are received in a game networking system. A specification for displaying information from the player feeds in the game networking system is accessed. A first player profile is accessed for a first player in an online game, the first player profile identifying one or more characteristics of the first player. The first-player profile is used with the specification to determine a first display profile for displaying information from the player feeds to the first player. The feed-based information is generated for the first player by using the first display profile to access the player feeds, and the feed-based information is then displayed to the first player through a user interface of the online game.
