  • Patent number: 12276119
Abstract: The present invention provides a transition moulding comprised of an elongate piece having three strips of adhesive material, a plurality of holes, and thin lateral beveled edges. The holes are for embedding adhesive or mortar as well as placing mechanical fasteners to secure the moulding to the sub floor. The adhesive bands are for securing the flooring material and the central adhesive band is for placing a clip that is configured and sized to hold a “T” separator placed between the two flooring materials. There is also a crease to facilitate the folding or breaking of the moulding for when it is used against a wall or at the end of a floor such as on door sills or staircase.

  • Patent number: 12237978
Abstract: A network state tracking system tracks the state of a network and recommends an action when the state of the network changes. The network state tracking system detects one or more nodes on the network and generates one or more snapshots of the network. The snapshots are generated by obtaining first and second status data from the nodes and detecting whether a change in the network has occurred based on the status data. The snapshots are generated based on the first and second status data when a change in the network is detected. The snapshots are then used to train a machine learning model to recommend an action to take when a change in the network occurs.

  • Patent number: 12221405
Abstract: A process for preparing glycols from a lignocellulosic solid biomass involves contacting the biomass with an organic solvent comprising a low boiling point alcohol and a pre-treatment acid at a temperature in a range from 80 to 220° C. and a pressure in a range from 1 to 50 bara. The resulting mixture, having less than wt. % water, is separated into a pre-treated solid residue comprising cellulose and a liquid stream comprising dissolved lignin. The pre-treated solid residue is subjected to a hydrogenolysis reaction. generating a glycols stream, a lights stream, comprising a first portion of organic solvent, and a heavies stream. At least part of the liquid stream is separated to produce a second portion of organic solvent and a lignin stream. At least part of the first and second portions of organic solvent is recycled to the contacting step.

  • Patent number: 12213049
Abstract: Techniques described herein provide pooling of radio access network (RAN) resources in a disaggregated RAN in a manner that enables dynamic re-homing of RAN functions with minimal disruption to stateful communications. The RAN is a hierarchical arrangement of RAN units, each having an associated state at any given time. A RAN state pooling system (RSPS) is in communication with a pool of the RAN units via a high-speed communication channel. The RSPS is configured to maintain an updated repository of the state information for the RAN units in its serviced pool. In the event of re-homing from a first RAN unit to a second RAN unit in the pool (e.g., due to the first RAN unit failing, becoming overloaded, etc.), the RSPS provides the second RAN unit with the updated state information for the first RAN unit to facilitate a stateful re-homing.

  • Patent number: 12167503
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards facilitating intelligent mobility including session and handover management within communications networks. Handovers for user devices in a network are predicted, current and predicted status data of the network are obtained, and a tradeoff between a cost for pre-allocation of resources prior to predicted handovers and a gain in quality of service is analyzed based on the current and predicted status data to cause resource pre-allocation in the network.

  • Publication number: 20240402519
Abstract: Lenses are tinted for control of myopia development. These myopia control tints can be provided in contact lenses, eyeglass lenses, goggles, or other viewing optics. In some cases, dual zone lenses include a clear vision portion and a defocus portion in combination with the myopia control tints. While users can find that lenses with a defocus zone provoke a feeling of blurred vision, the myopia control tints can address the perceived defocus and provide superior user comfort.
