  • Publication number: 20240066723
Abstract: It is recognized It is recognized herein that current approaches to robotic picking lack efficiency and capabilities. In particular, current approaches often do not properly or efficiently estimate the pose of bins, due to various technical challenges in doing so, which can impact grasp computations and overall performance of a given robot. The pose of the bin can be determined or estimated based on depth images. Such bin pose estimation can be performed during runtime of a given robot, such that grasping can be enhanced due to the bin pose estimations.

  • Patent number: 9885687
Abstract: Arrangements are described for evaluating characteristics of target molecules. A biochip is received which includes a substrate to which charged probe molecules are attached. The probe molecules have a marker to allow generating signals indicative of the distance of a portion of the probe molecule from the substrate. The signals are detected and means for an external electric field is generated to which the probe molecules are exposed. A control means acts to: (A) apply an external electric field causing the portion of the probe molecule to approach the substrate, and (B) apply an external electric field causing the portion of the probe molecule to move away from the substrate. The signal is recorded as a function of time during step (A) and/or step (B). Steps (A) and (B) are repeated for a predetermined number of times and the recorded signals are combined.

  • Patent number: 9642043
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems that may help to dynamically rout calls in a communication network where circuit-switched fallback (CSFB) is implemented. In particular, a user equipment (UE) may include an identifier of an interworking server (IWS), which relayed a page message from a first access network to a second access network for transmission to the UE, in the corresponding page response message that the UE sends to the first access network. The inclusion of the IWD identifier in the page response message may allow the switch that receives the page response message to detect when the corresponding voice call was received at a different switch in the first network, and responsively initiate an inter-system handoff when this is the case.

  • Publication number: 20160231682
Abstract: In a method to adjust print quality of print images in an electrophoretic digital printer with at least one print group, the print group generates charge images of the print images. The charge images are developed with a developer station into toner images using liquid developer having carrier fluid and toner. The toner images are transfer-printed onto a carrier medium in a transfer station. A first control marking is generated on the recording medium with elements of the first control marking being aligned transverse to a printing direction. A shape of the elements of the first control marking is measured to generate a first measurement signal. The first measurement signal is compared with a predetermined nominal value, and given a difference, an adjustment signal is generated via which an amount of the carrier fluid in the liquid developer is modified so that the first measurement signal approaches the predetermined nominal value.

  • Patent number: 9239188
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling drying of ceramic greenwares accounting for the load presented to a radio-frequency (RF) source of an RF applicator to reduce the risk of overheating greenware during drying. The method includes partially drying the greenware and then substantially drying the greenware with RF radiation. The RF radiation provided to an electrode region is controlled based on the number of greenware pieces within the electrode region at a given time. The system includes a control unit electrically connected to the electrode and configured to provide a select RF voltage to the electrode based on the number of greenwares within the electrode region. The system adjusts at least one input voltage from a power supply. The adjusted voltage is stepped-up, DC-rectified to form a plate voltage, and then converted by a high-frequency DC/AC convertor to the select high-frequency AC RF voltage needed to dry the greenwares without overheating.
