  • Patent number: 10761018
Abstract: A system and method for determining impurities in a beverage grade gas such as CO2 or N2 relies on a coupling of FTIR analysis and UV fluorescence detection. Conversion of reduced sulphur present in some impurities to SO2 can be conducted using a furnace. In some cases, CO2% also is determined.

  • Patent number: 10656128
Abstract: A method is provided for analyzing a sample and identifying species using chromatography and spectrometry. Possible candidate species to be used in a regression analysis are selected for consideration based on their retention indices in a chromatography column and peak locations in an infrared spectrum. By using such a selection process, the number of combinations of species to be used in the regression analysis can be significantly reduced. The species and respective concentrations in the sample are identified by using an iterative process with regression analysis and minimizing least squares errors between a sample spectrum and a computed spectrum associated with selected candidate species.

  • Patent number: 10401336
Abstract: A sample analysis method includes directing a sample that contains one or more SVOC components to a GC column to temporally separate components present in the sample. Output gas from the GC column is expanded into a sample cell. The sample cell is held at a temperature and pressure that are lower than the temperature and pressure at an outlet of the GC column. The volume of the sample cell is sufficiently large for maintaining the one or more SVOC components in a gaseous phase. Infrared spectra of the components in the sample cell are obtained using a Fourier transform infrared spectrometry system.

  • Publication number: 20190248007
Abstract: Systems and methods for a universal connection interface between a robot and a plurality of modular attachments are disclosed. Also disclosed are autonomous robotic system and devices comprising a control module in operative connection to a drive module and at least one task module, the drive module configured to move the system through a space as instructed by the control module, the at least one task module configured to perform a task or set of tasks as instructed by the control module. The robotic device also includes a data receiving unit. A command is given by the user to the robotic device to perform a function, and the device then transmits the data to the accessory task module through the data receiving unit. In one exemplary implementation, a robot may be assigned a plurality of different tasks to be accomplished by connecting to a plurality of different modular attachments to using a single universal connection interface.
