Patents by Inventor Paul Bernhard Kröhl

Paul Bernhard Kröhl has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 10914519
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for drying salts with a water of crystallisation content in convective apparatuses that can additionally be indirectly heated. The invention is primarily characterised in that the drying process takes place with a moisture content of the drying gas above a determined level. The gas surrounding the salt particles during the drying process therefore has a specific humidity. In this way, the rate of drying is positively influenced.

  • Patent number: 10793452
Abstract: A process for recovering solid waste from produced water in an oil sands system utilizing a fluidized bed, comprising: transferring an amount of produced water into a solution tank, producing an enriched salt solution in the solution tank, transferring the enriched salt solution using at least one spray nozzle into a fluidized bed of a fluidized bed spray granulator, heating the fluidized bed with a gas, growing granules within the fluidized bed through evaporative drying of salt from the enriched salt solution, extracting the granules from the fluidized bed spray granulator to produce a granulator product, separating at least a portion of the granulator product into at least two fractions, and removing at least a portion of at least one of the at least two fractions from the system as solid waste brine product.

  • Patent number: 6054101
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and device for heat-treating plaster which is calcined to form hemihydrate plaster or anhydrite. Calcining to form hemihydrate plaster is carried out in at least one fluid bed region in which the water vapor partial pressure and material temperature are adjusted. The at least one fluid bed region can be followed by a further fluid bed region in which the anhydrite is formed and the water vapor partial pressure and material temperature are also adjusted. In addition, a fluid bed region can be provided for cooling purposes before the product-discharge point.
