  • Patent number: 4132509
Abstract: A device for entering dyes having a consistency, which may vary from a liquid to a pulverous state, into synthetic material processing machines, especially extrusion and injection molding machines, by means of a hose pump adjustable as to the quantity being delivered thereby. The device includes a rotor provided with rollers respectively rotatable about their own axes and about the axis of the rotor in the manner of planetary gears while at least one compressible conveyor hose of elastic material extends in contact with the rollers and between the latter and the interior of a pump housing which interior has a substantially circular cross section. The rollers roll on the hose or hoses while compressing same sectionwise and while the pressure zones circulate about the axis of the rotor. For purposes of adjusting the delivery quantity of the pump per revolution of the rotor, and adjusting device is provided for varying the hose volume respectively remaining between the pressure zones.

  • Patent number: 4120674
Abstract: A filtering arrangement for vacuum loaders, particularly for conveying pulverous materials. The upper part of a filtering container is provided with a cylindrical conveying filter for conveying air withdrawn from the filtering container radially through the conveying filter. A scavenging air filter, for the scavenging air flowing out of the filtering container during the cleaning operation, is arranged above the conveying filter and forms a scavenging air chamber with the inner wall of the filtering container, air flowing axially through the scavenging air chamber.

  • Patent number: 4101116
Abstract: An apparatus for mixing granulated and/or pulverous materials, such as synthetic materials, dye stuffs, and the like. A housing defines a mixing chamber in which is arranged a mixing device. At least a portion of the peripheral area of the mixing device, while forming a gap, borders a surface which is inclined relative to a horizontal plane. The width of the gap is adjusted so that when the mixing device is turned, the material to be mixed is conveyed along the gap against the force of gravity.

  • Patent number: 4060223
Abstract: A mixing device for mixing flowable materials, especially dry materials, such as pulverant or powdered materials, in which a pair of inlet conduits have the downstream ends connected to a fitting which is also connected to the upstream end of a discharge conduit with a valve for selectively controlling the downstream ends of the supply conduits. Separate supply chambers are connected to the upstream ends of the supply conduits and charge a respective material into the associated supply conduit in conformity with the setting of the flap valve.A secondary mixing device is connected to receive mixed material in the discharge conduit for further mixing of the material while air may also be extracted from the material.
