  • Patent number: 11458090
Abstract: A sunscreen composition includes a silicone phase that includes at least one silicone film former, a blend of silicones that includes at least one of each of a low viscosity silicone fluid, a silicone co-emulsifier and a self-emulsifying silicone elastomer. The composition includes a UV filter system that includes one or more UV filters. The silicone film former and blend of silicones are present in quantities sufficient to provide an SPF that is boosted by at least 100% as compared to a composition that lacks silicone film former, and the cosmetic composition has a unique texture that provides low friction and high glide.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 2, 2019
Date of Patent: October 4, 2022
    Assignee: L'OREAL
Inventors: Lilian Josephson, Susan Halpern, Paul Bonvallet, Zachary Maron
  • Patent number: 11452685
Abstract: A cosmetic composition and a method for preparing the cosmetic composition are provided. The cosmetic composition includes an aqueous phase and oil phase. The aqueous phase comprises at least one water soluble ingredient including at least one non-ionic surfactant. The oil phase comprises a transformative agent, at least one thickener and at least one solvent. The transformative agent comprising at least 1% of at least one butter and at least 1% of at least one oil, the transformative agent having a butter to oil ratio of from about 2:5 to about 9:10. The cosmetic composition has a transformative texture.

  • Publication number: 20210338564
Abstract: The present invention relates to a cosmetic treatment and processes for treating keratinous materials, in particular for altering the color of hair as in hair coloration, hair color lightening or removal, and treatment of artificially colored hair, wherein the composition can include at least one antioxidant, applied separately or combined or combinable with one or more components of a color altering system in amounts sufficient to confer protection when the treatment composition is applied to keratinous material and thereby enhance and protect one or more sensorial features, and preserve the mechanical properties and native amino acid structure of the keratinous material.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 16, 2021
    Publication date: November 4, 2021
    Applicant: L'OREAL
