  • Publication number: 20210042997
Abstract: A method for use in colourising a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud of an environment, the method including determining timing information indicative of a time of capture of a frame; identifying at least some 3D points of the point cloud in the frame based on the position of the camera and determining a local point cloud that captures a scene in the immediate vicinity of the camera, wherein a visibility check is performed on the local point cloud to determine points in the local point cloud that are visible from the perspective of the camera for a given frame; and determining a candidate colour for the at least some of the 3D points using a colour of a corresponding pixel in the frame extracted from the video data; and, assigning a colour to one or more points of the 3D point cloud using candidate colours obtained from multiple frames.

  • Patent number: 10800647
Abstract: A system and related method of filling tanks is provided so that tanks do not attain an overfill condition and/or so the tanks are filled to a maximum specified capacity. The system includes an adjustable float switch having a float configured to float in liquid that is filled into a trailer tanker, a mix tank, a frac tank, a storage tank and a variety of other tanks. The float can be set so that when the liquid attains a maximum level and associated volume, the float switch opens so that pressurized air can be communicated from it to a pneumatically actuated tanker valve disposed in a supply line. This shuts off the flow of liquid through the supply line and into the tank. The system can be operable in a various modes, such as a filling mode, a filled mode, a manual emergency shutoff mode and/or a manual reset mode.

  • Publication number: 20160032005
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and pharmaceutical compositions for treating breast cancers. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for predicting the survival of a patient suffering from a breast cancer comprising i) determining the expression level of Vangl2 in a tumor sample obtained from the patient, ii) comparing the expression level determined at step i) with a predetermined reference value and iii) providing a poor prognosis when the expression level determined at step i) is higher than the predetermined reference value. The present invention also relates to a method for treating a patient suffering from a breast cancer comprising the steps consisting of i) predicting the survival of the patient according to claim 1 and ii) administering the patient with an anti-Vangl2 antibody or an inhibitor of Vangl2 expression or an inhibitor of the Vangl2-p62 interaction when it is concluded that the patient has a poor prognosis at step i).

  • Publication number: 20100173788
Abstract: The present invention provides protein-based biomarkers and biomarker combinations that are useful in qualifying breast cancer status in a patient. In particular, the biomarkers of this invention are useful to determine metastasis-free survival of breast cancer patients. The biomarkers can be detected by SELDI mass spectrometry in serum samples fractionated by means of anion exchange chromatography. Some of the biomarkers have been identified as: Apolipoprotein A1; Apolipoprotein A2; Haptoglobin alpha 1; Transferrin; Complement C3a; and truncated forms thereof.

  • Patent number: 7395774
Abstract: The present invention relates to a retractable canopy structure adapted to be used in conjunction with the canopy structure on a boat's existing T-top tubular frame near the level of the existing canopy. The canopy frame structure comprises two longitudinally aligned, telescoping members with at least one transverse, telescoping frame member disposed between the two longitudinal members to prevent the canopy from collapsing when under tension. The canopy frame structure is disposed onto the existing T-top frame using a mounting assembly comprising of a grommet adapted to be placed between two frame members and wrapped with an adjustable strap. The canopy and telescoping frame components are designed to be adaptable to various T-top canopy widths, and can be extended to various lengths to increase the amount of available canopy shade area while in the mounted position on the boat's existing T-top.

  • Patent number: 5561883
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for cleaning storage containers used in petrochemical or oil refineries. A remotely controllable dual tracked robotic vehicle is placed in a container to be cleaned. A cleaning fluid diluent material is directed against waste material in the container causing a portion of it to form a slurry which is vacuumed out by a nozzle and hose carried by the vehicle. A separator system exterior to the tank processes the removed slurry.
