Abstract: A gaming system is disclosed which comprises a bet receiver arranged to receive a bet amount from a player, a symbol modifier arranged to modify at least one symbol in a set of symbols when the bet amount is greater than a minimum bet amount so as to increase the probability of occurrence of a symbol win combination and thereby maintain the Mean Prize Value for the symbol win combination greater than or equal to a predetermined minimum Mean Prize Value. The system also comprises a symbol selector arranged to randomly select a plurality of symbols from the set of symbols for display to a player, a game outcome generator arranged to determine a game outcome based on the selected symbols, and a prize allocator arranged to allocate a prize amount to the player based on the determined game outcome. A corresponding method of gaming is also disclosed.
