Abstract: An unpriced order auction and related market center and process are disclosed which allow posting market centers (e.g., exchanges) to schedule an auction that includes unpriced (Market) orders only. Such unpriced order auction executes at the midpoint of the NBBO, ensuring that the cross reflects the best prices in the entire marketplace, while discouraging the manipulation of the auction price on the posting market center. The disclosed auction also executes concurrently, but separately from the regular continuous matching process.

Abstract: A lock system includes an active panel center gearbox. The active panel center gearbox includes a deadbolt, a deadbolt drive to extend or retract the deadbolt, an upper drive assembly, a lower drive assembly, a latch bolt, a handle assembly to retract the latch bolt and to extend or retract the lower and the upper driver assemblies, a reverse action rocker coupling the lower and the upper drive assemblies so they move in different directions, a mishandling bolt, and a mishandling plate. When the mishandling bolt extends, it lowers the mishandling plate. When the mishandling plate lowers, it engages the deadbolt to prevent the deadbolt from extending, it engages the handle assembly to prevent the lower drive assembly from extending, and it engages the reverse action rocker to prevent the upper drive assembly from extending.

Abstract: Techniques for managing workloads in processor cores are disclosed. High priority or mission critical workloads may be assigned to processor cores of a processor. When a power limited throttling condition is met, the processor may throttle some of its cores while not throttling the cores with the high priority or mission critical workloads assigned to it. Such an approach can ensure that mission critical workloads continue even upon throttling of the processor cores.

Abstract: A vacuum-based end effector for selectively engaging parcels includes a base plate to which a plurality of vacuum cups are mounted and configured to be placed in fluid communication with a vacuum source. Each vacuum cup includes a bellows having a distal end connected to a lip. The vacuum-based end effector further includes a linear actuator that is mounted to the base plate and includes an extendible arm to which at least one vacuum cup is operably connected. The linear actuator can be selectively actuated to extend the extendible arm and move the lip of the vacuum cup operably connected to the extendible arm below a common plane defined by the lips of vacuum cups which maintain a fixed position relative to the base plate to individually address a target parcel. The vacuum-based end effector can be combined with a robot to provide an improved system for selectively engaging parcels.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for use in oil and gas operations comprising prepackaging, in a packaging container, two or more dry components to form a dry composition, wherein the two or more dry components comprise a polyacrylamide friction reducer (FR) polymer, and wherein the dry composition comprises a predetermined ratio of the two or more dry components, transporting the packaging container to a wellsite, removing all or a portion of the dry composition from the packaging container and mixing the all or a portion of the dry composition with an aqueous fluid to form a wellbore servicing fluid having known concentrations of the two or more dry components, and placing at least a portion of the wellbore servicing fluid into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation.

Abstract: A method, system and associate peripheral device for remotely teaching piano. The device (13/23) comprises a plurality of indicator LEDs along its length for arrangement/alignment across a student piano keyboard (11). When a key is triggered on a remote piano keyboard (21), e.g., by a teacher, one of the LEDs lights up at the equivalent key at the student piano keyboard. The system also allows for playing notes from the student or teacher piano keyboard, communicated over the internet, at the teacher or student piano keyboard and vice versa.

Abstract: In one aspect, the invention relates to chemical modulators of insect olfactory receptors. In particular, compounds and compositions are provided that can inhibit sensory (e.g., host targeting) functions in airborne insects such as mosquitos. Methods of employing such agents, and articles incorporating the same, are also provided. The dispensing apparatus is configured to convey articles on the belt in a dispensing direction along the dispensing path toward the dispensing outlet to be dispensed. The singulating channel is configured to singulate the articles as the articles are conveyed along the dispensing path and through the singulating channel toward the dispensing outlet to be dispensed. The first guide wall extends laterally across the singulating channel at an oblique angle to vertical to overhang at least a portion of the singulating channel and engage articles conveyed along the singulating channel.

In one embodiment, an accessory for communication with a hearing device includes an acoustic filter, and a microphone configured as an acoustic receiver (RX) for acoustic signals from a speaker of the hearing device via the acoustic filter. The acoustic filter is configured to operate at at least one resonance frequency. The accessory is in acoustic and magnetic communication with the hearing device.
