  • Publication number: 20200142570
Abstract: Methods and systems for bound based contextual zoom are disclosed. Legacy WINDOWS desktop and web applications were designed for a mouse or other high-precision pointing device, and as such, small controls and closely grouped controls/icons were commonly designed/used on the screen. Interacting with such applications remoted to a touch-based device (e.g., a smartphone or tablet) is difficult. Bound based contextual zoom overcomes at least some of these limitations by permitting a user to zoom in on an area of interest within an application or desktop, and for a period of time long enough to complete the touch interaction. The area zoomed might be a group of controls on a ribbon bar, the minimize/maximize/close buttons in the top-right corner of a window, a group of form input controls, or any other natural cluster of related user interface (UI) elements.

  • Publication number: 20200141788
Abstract: A capacitive sensing system may include a fluid cup configured to receive a fluid, and processing circuitry and a capacitive sensor coupled to one another, the capacitive sensor is a distance separated from and in parallel with a top surface of the fluid in the fluid cup, the distance the capacitive sensor is separated from the top surface of the fluid being variable with a fill level of the fluid in the fluid cup. The capacitive sensor and the fluid in the fluid cup may form elements of a capacitor with a capacitance that is a function of at least the distance the capacitive sensor is separated from the top surface of the fluid. The processing circuitry may be configured to measure a change in signal corresponding to a change in capacitance of the capacitor and determine the fill level based on a magnitude of the change in signal.

  • Publication number: 20200142036
Abstract: Aspects of the technology employ sensors having high speed rotating mirror assemblies. For instance, the sensors may be Lidar sensors configured to detect people and other objects in an area of interest. A given mirror assembly may have a triangular or other geometric cross-sectional shape. The reflective faces of the mirror assembly may connect along edges or corners. In order to minimize wind drag and torque issues, the corners are rounded, filleted, beveled, chamfered or otherwise truncated. Such truncation may extend the length of the mirror side. The mirror assembly may employ one or more beam stops, light baffles and/or acoustic/aerodynamic baffles. These sensors may be employed with self-driving or manual driven vehicles or other equipment. The sensors may also be used in and around buildings.

  • Publication number: 20200142014
Abstract: In a method for generating an MR image of an object, k-space of the MR image is separated into blades. In each blade, parallel k-space lines are provided which are separated in a phase encoding direction (PED). Each blade has a different rotation angle around a common center relative to the remaining blades. A spatial extend of the object is determined. For the blades, the extend of the object in the corresponding PED is determined. A blade specific extend of a field of view (FOV) in the PED is determined for each of the blades based on the corresponding extend of the object in the PED. The extend of the FOV in the PED differs for at least one of the blades from the extend of the remaining blades, and sampling the k-space with the blades with the determined blade specific FOV as determined for each of the blades.
