  • Patent number: 10584804
Abstract: A drive lever comprising a first end for insertion into a slot of the hydraulic spool valve. The first end comprises at least two resilient members which resist radial compression (R1, R2) such that they exert a radially outward force (F1, F2) on one or more inner surfaces of the slot when inserted therein. This radially outward force (F1, F2) can account for any backlash that would otherwise be present between the drive lever and the slot due to manufacturing tolerances or wear.

  • Patent number: 10585662
Abstract: Generally described, aspects of the present disclosure relate to a live update process of the virtual machine monitor during the operation of the virtual machine instances. An update to a virtual machine monitor can be a difficult process to execute because of the operation of the virtual machine instances. Generally, in order to update the virtual machine monitor, the physical computing device needs to be rebooted, which interrupts operation of the virtual machine instances. The live update process provides for a method of updating the virtual machine monitor without rebooting the physical computing device.

  • Patent number: 10584049
Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions and methods of mitigating scale in phosphoric acid and ammonium phosphate plants. Scale-mitigating compositions of the invention can be added to phosphoric acid before or during the concentration in the evaporator cycle of a phosphoric acid plant. The compositions retard the formation of scale on surfaces in contact with the phosphoric acid, and thus time between cleaning is extended and plant productivity increased. Further, the scale that forms is softer and more easily cleaned from surfaces, reducing non-operation time of the plant and/or evaporator. Methods of mitigating scale formation in phosphoric acid production and phosphoric acid handling plants are disclosed. In the methods, scales accumulate more slowly and are softer, more tractable, and more easily cleaned from surfaces to which they adhere.

  • Patent number: 10587234
Abstract: An embodiment of an amplifier circuit includes first, second, and third amplifiers. The first and second amplifiers are configured to amplify a differential input signal with a non-inverting gain. And the third amplifier, which can be a transconductance amplifier, is configured to cause the first and second amplifiers to amplify a common-mode input signal with a gain that is less than unity. The third amplifier can also be configured to cause the first and second amplifiers to generate a common-mode output voltage that is substantially independent of the common-mode input voltage. Consequently, in addition to presenting a high input impedance and a low noise factor, such an amplifier circuit has a configurable common-mode output voltage and has a lower common-mode gain (e.g., less than unity, approaching zero) than other non-inverting differential amplifiers.

  • Patent number: 10586482
Abstract: An electronic device such as a desktop computer or other device may have an electronic device housing with front and rear faces. A display may be mounted on the front face. The electronic device may include multiple ambient light sensors such as a front color ambient light sensor on the front face and a rear color ambient light sensor on the rear face. The front ambient light sensor gathers a front ambient light intensity measurement and a front ambient light color measurement. The rear ambient light sensor gathers a rear ambient light intensity measurement and a rear ambient light color measurement. During operation, control circuitry in the electronic device takes action based on data from the ambient light sensors. The control circuitry may adjust a white point of the display using a combined color value that is produced using a combining function.

  • Patent number: 10586033
Abstract: A client transmits a user identifier and a password to a server via an application programming interface (API). The client establishes an authenticated session with the server in which the client has a first set of permissions for operations associated with the API. The client receives, responsive to a verification of the user identifier and password by the server, a logon response and a shared secret. The client generates a one time passcode (OTP) based upon the shared secret. The client sends the OTP to the server via the API. Responsive to the server validating the OTP against the shared secret, the server grants a second set of permissions for operations associated with the API.
