  • Patent number: 9843713
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for controlling a camera based on movement of a user detected by another camera. A system may include a first camera capturing images of a user, a display located in the vicinity of the first camera, the display displaying, in real time, video received from a second camera disparately located from the first camera. The system may include one or more processors coupled to the first camera, the second camera and the display, the processor(s) analyzing the images captured by the first camera to determine head and eye movement of the user, determining camera settings for the second camera based on the determined head and/or eye movement of the user, and transmitting the determined camera settings to the second camera.

  • Patent number: 9843916
Abstract: An emergency routing apparatus may include receiving a request for help from a portable device and processing the request to contact an appropriate emergency call center. The emergency call center may be determined based on location of the mobile device that is received with the request for help. If a connection can be established over a first communication link, the request for help may be transmitted to the emergency call center over the first communication link. If a connection cannot be established over the first communication link, another communication link may be used to transmit the request for help to the emergency call center. Transmitting the request for help over the other communication link may include dialing a phone number of the emergency call center and playing a message with the request for help over the other communication link.

  • Publication number: 20150194034
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for monitoring an area by an imaging system and detecting an incapacitated person in the monitored area. An incapacitated person monitoring apparatus may include a processing system configured to receive video data from at least one camera, the video data including a plurality of sequentially captured images. The processing system may be further configured to detect a body of a person in the images, and determine whether the detected body of the person in the images satisfies one or more first conditions identifying an incapacitated person. When the body of the person satisfied one or more first conditions, a notification may be transmitted to one or more notification locations.
