Abstract: An efficient method of searching large databases for pattern recognition is provided. The techniques disclosed illustrate how a large database of arbitrary binary data might be searched at high speed using fuzzy pattern recognition methods. Pattern recognition speed enhancements are derived from a strategy utilizing effective computational decomposition, multiple processing units, effective time-slot utilization, and an organizational approach that provides a method of performance improvement through effective aggregation. In a preferred technique, a pattern recognition system would utilize multiple processing units to achieve an almost arbitrarily scalable level of pattern recognition processing performance.

Abstract: A distributed processing RAID data storage system utilizing optimized methods of data communication between elements. In a preferred embodiment, such a data storage system will utilize efficient component utilization strategies at every level. Additionally, component interconnect bandwidth will be effectively and efficiently used; systems power will be rationed; systems component utilization will be rationed; enhance data-integrity and data-availability techniques will be employed; physical component packaging will be organized to maximize volumetric efficiency; and control logic of the implemented that maximally exploits the massively parallel nature of the component architecture.

Abstract: Methods and devices for efficiently extracting long-term energy from the external environment or the propulsion system of a vehicle in motion or operation are described. The vehicle can be in the form of a missile, aircraft, sensor-pod, Space Shuttle, ship, submarine, propeller, or other moving body. Methods and devices are also described to generate short-term power during initial usage operations when power generation is needed but the vehicle is not yet sufficiently moving to make external energy extraction viable.
