Abstract: A cooking appliance including a cooktop having a cooktop surface and a griddle system including at least one cooking grate positioned on the cooktop surface, the at least one cooking grate including at least one griddle support protruding therefrom, and a griddle configured to removably engage the at least one griddle support, the at least one griddle support being configured to support the griddle away from the cooktop surface, and/or an oven cavity defined by top, bottom, front, rear, and lateral sides and a broil system including a diffuser disposed adjacent the top side of the oven cavity, a single tube broil element disposed between the diffuser and the top side of the oven cavity, and the diffuser being configured to diffuse heat emitted from the single tube broil element to form a substantially even temperature gradient proximate the top side of the oven cavity.

The second burner also configured to be concentric with the first burner and separated from the first burner by a distance at all points along the burners. Airflow is channeled into the hood cavity through the inlet end and is configured to be exhausted into an exhaust duct through the exhaust end. A transition element extends from the exhaust end. The transition element has an inner surface and an outer surface, and the transition element includes a mounting portion configured to be coupled to the exhaust duct. The outer surface of the transition element is configured to engage an outer surface of the exhaust duct when the mounting portion is coupled to the exhaust duct.

Abstract: A cooling apparatus is provided for cooling a cabinet of a cooking appliance that includes an oven within exterior side panels. The cooling apparatus includes a side rail and a bottom panel coupled to the side rail. The bottom panel includes a slot therein. A cover is disposed over the bottom panel to form a channel. The slot opens into the channel. The cover is configured to direct cooling air from the slot into a space between the oven and the side panels.

Abstract: A gas burner assembly for a gas fired cooktop includes first, second, third, and fourth gas burners arranged such that the first and second burners are spaced with respect to each other at a first distance and the third and fourth burners are spaced with respect to each other at a second distance longer than the first distance. Each of the first and second burners have a power output greater than that of each of the third and fourth burners. A fifth gas burner is positioned between the first and second burners and between the third and fourth burners.

Abstract: A cooktop burner assembly is described. The cooktop burner assembly includes a main burner, and a simmer burner located below the main burner, where a diameter of the simmer burner is greater than a diameter of the main burner. The closer placement of the main burner to a cooking vessel placed on top of the cooktop burner assembly as compared to the placement of the simmer burner from the cooking vessel increases thermal efficiency. Moreover, the farther placement of the simmer burner from the cooking vessel facilitates simmering of items in the cooking vessel and the larger diameter of the simmer burner reduces a possibility of overheating the main burner and the cooking vessel.

Abstract: An oven assembly that includes a first oven cavity including a self-cleaning feature, a first pair of opposing walls, and a second pair of opposing walls, wherein the walls are coupled together to define a first volume within the first oven cavity, and a second oven cavity coupled to the first oven cavity, wherein the second oven cavity includes a first pair of opposing walls and a second pair of opposing walls coupled together to define a second volume within the second oven cavity, each of the first walls includes a slide rail coupled thereto, and a drawer frame slidably coupled to the slide rails and selectively sized to receive a drawer such that the drawer is removable from the second oven cavity and positionable within the first oven cavity to facilitate cleaning the drawer utilizing the self-clean feature of the first oven cavity.
