  • Publication number: 20250258845
Abstract: A method of operating a computing device includes receiving occupancy data for an operating environment of a mobile robot based on localization data detected by at least one localization sensor of the mobile robot responsive to navigation thereof in the operating environment, and receiving signal coverage data for the operating environment based on wireless communication signals acquired by at least one wireless receiver of the mobile robot responsive to navigation thereof in the operating environment. The wireless communication signals are transmitted by at least one electronic device that is local to the operating environment. The method further includes generating a map indicating coverage patterns of the wireless communication signals at respective locations in the operating environment by correlating the occupancy data and the signal coverage data. Related methods, mobile robots, and user terminals are also discussed.

  • Patent number: 9992627
Abstract: An approach for providing location sharing via simulation is disclosed. A location sharing platform determines at least one location point associated with at least one device and at least one algorithm for determining at least one predicted route of the at least one device based, at least in part, on the at least one location point. The location sharing platform then causes, at least in part, a transmission of the at least one location point and the at least one algorithm to at least one other device for generating location tracking information.

  • Patent number: 9106553
Abstract: A computing device is provided that includes a plurality of user-interactive mechanisms. The computing device may also include a universal communication port that is capable of receiving a connection from a device that belongs to any one of a plurality of device classes or types. The device may be equipped or configured with logic. The logic may configure or otherwise enable an operative state of user-interface mechanisms on the device. Additionally, the logic may (i) detect a connected device that connects to the universal communication port, and (ii) determine a set of functionality that the connected device is capable of performing when connected to the universal communication port. The logic may perform, or cause performance, of operations that are for use with or by the connected device.

  • Patent number: 8748467
Abstract: The invention relates to composition and related therapeutic methods including at least one antihyperthyroid drug formulated for transdermal administration. Because the formulation is formulated for transdermal administration, the formulation is easier to administer than existing formulations which are administered orally to animals. Issues surrounding transdermal administration versus oral administration have also been resolved allowing the agent to remain stable during storage and retain a high level of efficacy.

  • Patent number: 8452807
Abstract: System, apparatus, method, and article for techniques to associate media data with related information. A mobile computing device includes a media manager module. The media manager module processes a media file including metadata. The media manager module retrieves a first content from a metadata field in the metadata. The media manager module retrieves a second content from a field in an application file associated with an application client. The media manager module compares the first and second contents and determines whether the first and second contents are associated. If the first and second contents are associated, the media manager module retrieves the second content and inserts the second content in a second metadata field of the media file.

  • Publication number: 20110292060
Abstract: In the instant invention an improved method and device is described for utilizing the frame buffer of and electronic device with a display. The frame buffer is enlarged well beyond the dimensions of the display and the user is unable to change which region of the frame buffer is visible on the display. An application of the electronic device is allocated a region for its exclusive use that is within the portion of the frame buffer which is not visible to the user, and draws into it. The application may also take full advantage of accelerated drawing operations offered by the GPU. Compositing may be done by the application or by a window manager between regions of the enlarged frame buffer, visible on-screen, the portion off-screen, or any combination.
