  • Patent number: 12092030
Abstract: An aircraft gas turbine engine includes a heat exchanger module, and a core engine including an intermediate-pressure compressor, a high-pressure compressor, a high pressure turbine, and a low-pressure turbine. The high-pressure compressor is connected to the high-pressure turbine by a first shaft, and the intermediate-pressure compressor is connected to the low-pressure turbine by a second shaft. The heat exchanger module includes a central hub and heat transfer elements extending radially from the central hub and spaced in a circumferential array, for transferring heat energy from a fluid within the heat transfer elements to an inlet airflow passing over the heat transfer elements prior to entry of the airflow into an inlet to the core engine. The gas turbine engine further includes a first electric machine connected to the first shaft and positioned downstream of the heat exchanger module, and a second electric machines connected to the second shaft.

  • Publication number: 20060289442
Abstract: Embodiments provide apparatuses and methods for cleaning microwave devices, such as microwave ovens. In one example, the apparatus may contain an enclosure at least partially enclosing a cleaning solution and a wiping article. The cleaning solution may contain water, a surfactant, and a fragrance, and the enclosure may contain a seal that may be separated to enable dispersion of the cleaning solution into a microwave oven interior. In another example, a microwave device and apparatus for cleaning the microwave device is provided which includes a region partially surrounded by at least one interior surface within the microwave device, a microwave energy source coupled to and positioned to radiate the region, a residue adhered to the at least one interior surface of the microwave device, an enclosure having at least one wall and contained within the region, and a first protective material for absorbing excess microwave energy contained within the enclosure.

  • Publication number: 20050092744
Abstract: A device and method that cleans microwave ovens through a chemical action, specifically to an agent that is placed into the microwave oven, and then activated by operating the oven for a period of time. Different embodiments include a device composed of an open cell container filled with solution; an open cell container with an attached sponge(s) and filled with solution; and a sponge that contains a cleaning solution in hydrant or dehydrated form. In some of the described embodiments, the device has a tear off membrane seal to maintain the solution within the cell prior to use. Another embodiment described has a bottle hanger attached to a cell. All embodiments maintain a process to absorb excess microwave energy.
