Abstract: A stand for supporting a tree having a bore, the stand including a base adapted to be supported on a horizontal surface; a frame supported by the base for pivotal movement about a first generally horizontally extending pivot axis spaced above the horizontal surface, the frame having a first portion and a second portion supported by the first portion for pivotable movement about a second generally horizontally extending pivot axis, the second portion of the frame having a post extending below the second pivot axis and being adapted to be housed by the bore in the tree; a mechanism for moving the frame about the first pivot axis relative to the base; and a mechanism for moving the first portion of the frame about the second pivot axis relative to the second portion of the frame.
