  • Patent number: 7417502
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to power supplies for audio amplifiers that focus on the importance of certain power supply characteristics in forming the overall qualities of a tube amplifier. The power supplies may use a power transformer with two dissimilar and selectable secondary windings to supply the voltages for a single vacuum tube power amplifier (B+ voltages). The power supplies may also apply different rectifier characteristics to complement the use of multiple differing secondary windings. The power supplies may also use different capacitor bank options to filter ripple voltage. The power supplies may also use of coordinated grid-bias voltage adjustment that coincides with secondary winding selection. The power supplies may also use coordinated preamp bias voltage adjustment that coincides with secondary winding selection.

  • Publication number: 20080006444
Abstract: Provides a configuration of a hard drive enclosure system and method for manufacture in which a polymer including electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI shielding) properties is configured such that shielding gaskets may be reduced or eliminated completely. Patterned honeycomb “tubes” are molded into the front wall of the front panel providing access to the interior of the front plate, and allowing ventilation. Other EMI shielding cuts may be molded or stamped into the sides of the disk-drive enclosure and raised tab structures allow the enclosure to be placed in an array. The container is generally stamped, molded or extruded from Premier.®. or another EMI-shielding polymer material, preferably a single-layer of shielding polymer that provides sufficient EMI shielding.

  • Publication number: 20070297160
Abstract: Provides a configuration of an electronics enclosure system and method for manufacture in which a polymer including electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI shielding) properties is configured such that shielding gaskets may be reduced or eliminated completely. Patterned “tubes” of a single or various shapes are molded into the front wall of the front panel providing access to the interior of the front plate and extend behind the rear plane of the front plate, allowing ventilation and providing structural stability in the front plate. Other EMI shielding cuts may be molded or stamped into the sides of the disk-drive enclosure and raised tab structures allow the enclosure to be placed in an array. The container is generally stamped, molded or extruded from Premier® or another EMI-shielding polymer material or a conductive material coating over, preferably a single-layer of shielding polymer that provides sufficient EMI shielding.

  • Publication number: 20060209523
Abstract: The present invention provides a configuration of a computer-chassis containment or other electromagnetic device method for manufacture in which a “one-hit” solution may be implemented to provide adequate electromagnetic interference shielding (EMC shielding) and is configured such that shielding gaskets, “spoons” or other excessive structures may be reduced or eliminated completely. Patterned sinusoidal “patterns” that are stamped, molded, cut, or extruded into one or more sides of a “box” provide sufficient EMI shielding, such that the need for gaskets is reduced or eliminated.

  • Publication number: 20050207059
Abstract: A hard drive haven system for hard drives in a multiple environment that meets thermal, structural, interconnect ability, reliability, and mechanical integrity as is mandated for the life of a hard drive. The inventive device, as illustrated, is made from polymer materials that enhance vibration absorption, and acoustic noise. This inventive device will reduce the cost of metal solutions as well.
