Abstract: An energy conservation incentivisation system is disclosed. The energy conservation incentivisation system is provided with a website having a web server reading information representative of a customer's energy usage for a given period of time in relation to a corresponding period of time. The website verifies a reduction of energy usage, and registers the customer in a rewards program. The energy conservation incentivisation system also includes a communication system communicating with the Internet using an Internet protocol to receive the information from the customer. The information representative of the customer's energy usage can be one or more electronic files of utility invoices from the given period of time and the corresponding period of time.

Abstract: A virtual presence of an resident or owner of a monitored premise (home, office, etc.) is provided by automatic detection of the presence of a visitor, automatic establishment of a video feed to a remote device of the resident or owner, and automatic establishment of two-way audio communications between the remote device and a door intercom at the monitored presence. Using the video feed and the two-way communications, the resident or owner can communicate to the visitor as if the resident or owner were actually in the monitored presence viewing the visitor through a peep-hole or security camera, thereby providing the illusion to the visitor that the premise is actually occupied. Additionally, the resident or owner is provided a remote capability to activate an alarm or disarm and alarm, according to the conditions of the visit and the user's wishes.

Abstract: A web-based system for automatically distributing information received from information providers to information recipients who collectively comprise a defined group of anonymous subscribers within a distribution region defined by a geographical boundary. The system uses e-mail and the Internet to communicate with compatible hardware devices. It comprises (a) at least one information server for storing and dispensing information; (b) means for allowing an anonymous information provider to upload information to the at least one information server which is stored therein as data according to the geographical distribution region; and (c) means for simultaneously communicating the uploaded information immediately after it has been uploaded to said subscribers in that distribution region.
