  • Publication number: 20140136424
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for providing a view of energy usage data or events generated by at least one AMI meter and customer profile information. The system and method involves the collection of information about a customer by different business units which are part of a service provider. The system and method includes a user computer having the capability of gathering data about a customer from the different business units, including energy usage data. The user computer may calculate a level of satisfaction of the customer with respect to that customer's interactions with the different business units and display icons reflecting such levels of satisfaction through use of widgets.

  • Publication number: 20100289845
Abstract: There is disclosed a printer, comprising a print unit for printing on a print medium; a print media reversal unit for reversing the print medium to allow double-sided printing onto the print medium; a memory unit for storing printer configuration data, the printer configuration data including data specifying whether or not the printer is permitted to operate in a double-sided printing mode; an input device for receiving an instruction to permit the operation of the printer in a double-sided printing mode; and a print controller for controlling the print unit and the print media rotation unit, the controller being programmed to operate the printer in either a single-sided or double-sided mode in dependence on the printer configuration data, and to update the printer configuration data appropriately in response to receiving the instruction to permit the operation of the printer in a double-sided printing mode.

  • Patent number: 4575544
Abstract: A curable composition of a vinyl ether resin and at least one ferricenium salt of the formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different H or alkyl groups or a linkage to a polymer backbone; M is a metal or metalloid; X is a halide; and n is an integer equal to 1 plus the valency of M.

  • Patent number: 4533446
Abstract: An anaerobic adhesive composition activatable by ultraviolet or visible radiation is disclosed which forms strong bonds with lapped surfaces and which is comprised of (a) an anaerobically polymerizable acrylate ester monomer, (b) a compound which decomposes upon exposure to ultraviolet or visible light radiation to release a strong acid, (c) a peroxy free radical initiator capable of initiating the polymerization of the monomer upon substantial exclusion of oxygen and (d) an activator of anaerobic polymerization which, in the presence of a strong acid, reacts with the peroxide initiator to produce free radicals to catalyze the anaerobic polymerization of the monomer.

  • Patent number: 4525232
Abstract: Polymerization of acid activated compositions of acrylic monomers, peroxy initiators and ferrocene derivatives is inhibited by addition of 0.5-20% of a vinyl ether monomer. Bulk compositions activated by addition of a strong acid can be provided with a desired polymerization induction time directly related to the concentration of the vinyl ether. Compositions containing compounds which decompose to a strong acid upon exposure to actinic radiation, thereby activating polymerization, have increased shelf lives when vinyl ethers are included therein. The use of vinyl ether monomers having a functionality of two or more also provides increased adhesive bond strength after curing.

  • Patent number: 4525553
Abstract: Ferricenium salts of the formula: ##STR1## where R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are the same or different H or alkyl groups or a linkage to a polymeric backbone: M is a metal or metalloid; X is a halide and n is an integer, induce polymerization of acrylic monomer/peroxy initiator systems. Above a certain minimum concentration, however, gel time of the composition increases with additional ferricenium salt. This property is especially useful for controlling pot life of an activated acrylic composition.

  • Patent number: 4121145
Abstract: A stepping motor control circuit for precisely controlling the motion thereof. The control circuit energizes the motor windings according to the design sequence for rotation in a given direction. Each winding is energized by a signal having an ascending staircase for its leading edge, a descending staircase for its trailing edge and a steady state level between the leading and trailing edges. The ascending staircase and the descending staircase each comprise one quarter of the terms for each winding energizing signal. The steady state level occurs for one half the time of each energizing signal. The total number of steps in all ascending and decending staircases is controlled and selects the total rotation of the motor. When the motor reaches the desired position whether in the middle of a staircase or not, the signals coupled to the stepping motor windings are frozen at the level when the total step count is reached.

  • Patent number: 4095896
Abstract: In a double beam, optical-null type infra red spectrophotometer, an optical system including a movable dispersive optical element causes transmission of a spectrum of light in respective beams through an adjustable optical attenuator and through a sample and thence to a sensing circuit. The sensing circuit provides an error voltage having an amplitude proportional to the difference between the intensites of the beams passing through the sample and through the attenuator respectively. The position of the attenuator is adjusted in proportion to the integral of the error voltage to cause a reduction thereof while, in response to the magnitude of the error voltage in excess of a threshold value, there is a reduction in the rate of movement of the dispersive element.
