  • Patent number: 10995506
Abstract: An apparatus for use in construction to assist in the support of suspended concrete during at least a curing phase of the concrete. The apparatus comprises a base member and a support member coupled to the base member and moveable relative to the base member between a first relative position (“first position”) and a second relative position (“second position”). A biasing mechanism is operatively coupled to the support member to bias the support member toward the second position. In use, the support member is positioned to engage and support the suspended concrete and move from the first position toward the second position as the concrete cures and contracts, to maintain substantially continuous support to the concrete during at least a substantial period of the curing phase. In the preferred embodiment the apparatus is configured for use with a support prop.

  • Publication number: 20070049361
Abstract: In accordance with the teachings described herein, a side mounted wireless headset is provided. The wireless headset may be configured to communicate with a remote device over a short range wireless link. The wireless headset may include an eartip extending from a headset body that is configured to be inserted into an ear canal when the wireless headset is positioned on a user's head. The eartip, when inserted into the ear canal, may occlude the ear canal and secure the wireless headset to the user's head. An earhook may be attached to the headset body and may be configured to extend around an outer surface of the user's ear to further secure the wireless headset to the user's head.

  • Publication number: 20060120547
Abstract: A hearing instrument includes a faceplate and a shell. The faceplate is a round plate that has a moat defined in the surface of the plate and at least one feature associated with the plate for joining with a hearing instrument component. The moat is a trench or channel that is defined in the surface of the faceplate and includes a wall structure for coupling with a shell of a hearing instrument. The moat may be defined symmetrically about the at least one feature. The moat may be oval in shape and have a rectangular cross-section. A cut out is positioned on the faceplate for use in speeding the excising of material from the faceplate once the shell has been coupled to the faceplate.
