  • Publication number: 20240232448
Abstract: A system and method for generating and integrating surrogate neural network models developed from physics models of several subsystems on a vehicle, such as an aircraft, and simulating the integration of the models in a virtual flight deck (VFD). The method includes modeling each of the subsystems as a physics model, developing a surrogate neural network model from each of the physics models, placing the surrogate neural network models on a common bus, and integrating some or all of the surrogate neural network models provided on the bus in the VFD.

  • Patent number: 11662062
Abstract: A cryogenic energy storage system comprises at least one cryogenic fluid storage tank having an output; a primary conduit through which a stream of cryogenic fluid may flow from the output of the fluid storage tank to an exhaust; a pump within the primary conduit downstream of the output of the tank for pressurising the cryogenic fluid stream; evaporative means within the primary conduit downstream of the pump for vaporising the pressurised cryogenic fluid stream; at least one expansion stage within the primary conduit downstream of the evaporative means for expanding the vaporised cryogenic fluid stream and for extracting work therefrom; a secondary conduit configured to divert at least a portion of the cryogenic fluid stream from the primary conduit and reintroduce it to the fluid storage tank; and pressure control means within the secondary conduit for controlling the flow of the diverted cryogenic fluid stream and thereby controlling the pressure within the tank.

  • Patent number: 11552952
Abstract: A method and system for initiating message listening and routing message content to authorized user devices is disclosed. For a second user device to receive notifications regarding records of a first user, the second user device provides information identifying the first user to a notification service. The notification service verifies the identifying information. The notification service initiates one or more listeners to listen for messages flowing over a messaging bus that are relating to the first user. Once a message is identified, at least a portion of the message is used to generate a notification that may be sent to the second user device.

  • Patent number: 11451622
Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for process-performing resources and process specifications particularized to loads are provided. A provisional electronic composite for a load may be created. A type of process-performing resource may be identified. Performance data may be accessed to identify a process-performance duration that corresponds to a process type, the type of process-performing resource, process-performance locations, and process-performance times. A process-assignment duration may be defined, and an availability of a process-performing resource may be detected. A performance time may be determined based on the availability of the process-performing resource. Instruction to perform the process at the performance time may transmitted to at least one resource-controlling device. The provisional electronic composite for the load may be modified based on the performance time and the instruction to form an updated electronic composite.

  • Publication number: 20140278996
Abstract: The present invention relates to communications systems generally and to closed systems such as WiFi systems in particular, especially where connections to the internet, an intranet or similar is possible and overlay messaging is required. The Internet has provided new avenues for providing commercial content to computer users such as providing product updates and delivering advertisements in general to consumers. The present invention, therefore, seeks to enable a service provider to deliver targeted brand content adapted to the determined communications environment to the client device. Accordingly, the present invention can provide content with regard to the location and/or system environment i.e. the determined communications environment of the client device and not upon a determination of the type of “surfer” or user of the device, their preferences, interests, keyword extraction and/or data traffic.

  • Patent number: 7073619
Abstract: The present invention comprises an external airbag system for mounting on a vehicle (24) that deploys into the region above the bumper (38) to prevent or mitigate injuries that would have otherwise been caused by a person striking the grill (28) or hood area (26) of the vehicle. The airbag (20) is stored in a housing (40) mounted within the front bumper (38) of the vehicle. The airbag (20) is deployed upwardly through an opening (42) in the upper surface of the bumper (38) into the region between the upper surface of the bumper (38) and the front surface of the grill (28) and hood (26). The airbag (20) is generally T-shaped and includes a plurality of internal tethers (30,31) extending internally between the opposing inner surfaces (74) at regular intervals to cause the airbag (20) to be tufted.
