  • Patent number: 11911631
Abstract: A device having a biocompatible polymer as a body and regularly spaced radiation seeds and regularly spaced magnetic materials disposed of within the body of the biocompatible polymer, or uniformly distributed liquid radiation and magnetic fluid materials within a polymer slab, hollow thick wall polymer shell, or thin wall polymer balloon, as suitable for surgical placement within a resection cavity for treatment of at-risk tissue in the tumor margin with local hyperthermia in combination with radiation and potentially also with chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy that is slowly released from the biocompatible polymer.

  • Publication number: 20140278996
Abstract: The present invention relates to communications systems generally and to closed systems such as WiFi systems in particular, especially where connections to the internet, an intranet or similar is possible and overlay messaging is required. The Internet has provided new avenues for providing commercial content to computer users such as providing product updates and delivering advertisements in general to consumers. The present invention, therefore, seeks to enable a service provider to deliver targeted brand content adapted to the determined communications environment to the client device. Accordingly, the present invention can provide content with regard to the location and/or system environment i.e. the determined communications environment of the client device and not upon a determination of the type of “surfer” or user of the device, their preferences, interests, keyword extraction and/or data traffic.

  • Patent number: 7073619
Abstract: The present invention comprises an external airbag system for mounting on a vehicle (24) that deploys into the region above the bumper (38) to prevent or mitigate injuries that would have otherwise been caused by a person striking the grill (28) or hood area (26) of the vehicle. The airbag (20) is stored in a housing (40) mounted within the front bumper (38) of the vehicle. The airbag (20) is deployed upwardly through an opening (42) in the upper surface of the bumper (38) into the region between the upper surface of the bumper (38) and the front surface of the grill (28) and hood (26). The airbag (20) is generally T-shaped and includes a plurality of internal tethers (30,31) extending internally between the opposing inner surfaces (74) at regular intervals to cause the airbag (20) to be tufted.

  • Publication number: 20050087998
Abstract: An airbag (10) for mounting in the bumper (18) of a motor vehicle (12) is provided. The airbag can have an up-side-down “L” shape or a cylindrical shape. Further, multiple bags can be combined within one system. The airbag is configured to cover substantially the width of the vehicle upon deployment and also provide protection to the occupant of a struck vehicle (36) in the event the occupant is partially expelled from the struck vehicle in the direction of the bag. The airbag is combined with an inflation (23), collision sensor (34) and an electronic control unit (38) to form the airbag system.

  • Patent number: 5826379
Abstract: In order to provide a pre-assembled, relocatable building structure which can be transported by road from one site to another, a metal skeleton which is formed of 6.times.2 inch rectangular cross-section hollow steel tubing, is welded together and provided with horizontally extending anchor brackets at the bottom of each vertically extending column member. These anchor pads allow the building to be lowered onto foundations in which anchor bolts are imbedded, and bolted in place. The foundations are formed so as to take the form of continuous elongate blocks which break the passage of wind which tends to flow sideways under the housing structure. A shallow crawl space can formed between the foundation blocks to facilitate service connections. To prevent winds from tearing off side and roof panels of roof and wall structures secured to the skeleton, metal brackets are used to enclose or encapsulate the edges of the panels in a manner which prevents the direct contact with the wind.
