Publication number: 20030193301Abstract: A signaling lamp flasher that generates a intermittent pulse rate to one or more vehicle lamps which can include one or more lamps which can be in sequential and can include an audible sound that can be turned on and off or sound pattern can be changed, which the flasher is able to flash a 1 single LED (Light admitting Diode) to over 20 amps of lighting controlling contact between a vehicle power source and a signaling lamp unchanged. A flash control device generates the intermittent contact, and is preferably an input relay disposed between the power source and the signaling lamp An IC-based circuit generates a control pulse in response to the voltage received from the power source. The signaling lamp flasher also can provide a current overload protection at the signaling lamp through a fuse, auto-rest or pop-out resettable fuse. The location and ability of the fuse to be reset provides improved dependability and serviceability of the system if there was ever an over load to the lamp or flasher.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 10, 2002Publication date: October 16, 2003Inventor: Paul D. Publication number: 20030193841Abstract: A lighted instrument indicator or flashing type indicator contained inside an instrument like an hourmeter, tachometer, voltage meter or any other type instrumentation allowing a visual indication displaying the instrument is ON and also can display the performance of the application that the instrument is attached thereto. The type of indicator can be a standard flashing light bulb, LED or EL-light under the face, through the face or flashing illuminated back light LCD dial contained within the instrument or be in a separate area on the face, side, back or any other area on instrument that can clearly inform to operator through visual indication that the instrument is operating or the performance of the application thereto which the meter is monitoring. This visual indicator will also help the operator to not forget to turn the ignition switch off on the equipment or machine in which the meter is monitoring.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 14, 2002Publication date: October 16, 2003Inventor: Paul D. Publication number: 20030164666Abstract: The present invention provides the art of having a reflect-reflector baffle placed inside a lamp on the underside of the front lens or at the bottom portion of the lamp directly on a PC board or the use of a reflect-reflector baffle insert placed in the lamp that surrounds a light bulb or one or more LEDs to help aid in the light illumination of the lighting element which would then increase the light output of the lamp by redirecting any and all the light being generated from the lighting element/s to be forced to come out through the front area of the lens, which would usually be lost with inside the lamp. The common problem usually found within many types of vehicle lamp is that the reflect reflector placed on the inside portion of the lens which prevents the light from coming out through the lens being produced by the lighting source inside the lamp.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 1, 2002Publication date: September 4, 2003Inventor: Paul D. Crunk

Publication number: 20030151925Abstract: The present invention provides a solution to where many types of vehicle lamps used on and off roads is subject to considerable vibration and impact, which the lamps shifts, rotates, come loose or pop out of the mounting fixture, flange or application where they are secured to. With the use of the Lamp Alignment-Locking Assembly features will secure the lamps to the fixture or direct to the application and can also secure to the fixture to the application if a fixture is used, which will solve the many problems when vehicle lamps are subject to vibration or impact in vehicle or non-vehicle applications used on and off the roadways.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 12, 2002Publication date: August 14, 2003Inventor: Paul D. Crunk

Publication number: 20030058128Abstract: The Wireless Information Meter is a meter that has solved the many problems of having to use wires to send and receive information from and to meter. Now that the meters can be wireless where they can save in additional cost and installation and also solve the many problems that come along with having to use wires in hooking up to operate and receive and send information. What is very unique about this invention is that the meter can be placed a great distance from the source the information is be received or sent to making the meter more versatile then any wired meters. This meter can perform many functions in one meter without the use of any wires to power it, get information or receive information and can display the information in the meter display with and without the use of control button on the meter and is totally waterproof for indoor or outdoor applications.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 27, 2001Publication date: March 27, 2003Inventor: Paul D. Publication number: 20020136013Abstract: A light assembly has a housing with a circuit board and illumination element in the housing. A retainer secures the circuit board and illumination element in the housing. The retainer includes a first portion surrounding the circuit board. A second member applies a force on the circuit board to position the circuit board in the housing. A third member secures the retainer with the housing to maintain the retainer on the housing. A lens is coupled with the housing to cover the illumination elements.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 20, 2001Publication date: September 26, 2002Inventor: Paul D. Crunk

Patent number: 6259998Abstract: An engine tachometer device for determining the revolutions per minute of a engine which generates sparks. An electrical power supply input which is connected to a power source external to the device supplies electrical power to the device from the external power source. An internal power source is disposed within the device for supplying electrical power to the device. A power switch which is connected to the electrical power supply and to the internal power source provides power to the device by switching between the electrical power supplied via the input and via the internal power source. Another embodiment of the present invention includes the internal power source being a replaceable battery and containing components which protect the battery from at least one environmental characteristic of the environment that is external to the battery.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1998Date of Patent: July 10, 2001Inventor: Paul D. Patent number: 6254262Abstract: A signaling lamp allows improved serviceability and dependability. The lamp includes a light source, housing, backing and removable sealing mechanism. The housing includes a casing for coupling the housing to the backing, and a lens with a plurality of convex nodes along the interior surface for more efficiency collecting light from the light source. The modular structure and a pigtail socket achieve improved serviceability by allowing components to be individually replaceable and by increasing connectivity. Gaskets and an o-ring in conjunction with an o-ring slot formed in the backing of the lamp enhance sealing of the components. A heat sink on the backing operates to remove heat from the interior of the lamp. A current draw circuit and LED-based light source reduce the current draw to allow the lamp to use the standard battery from the primary vehicle as a power source.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1998Date of Patent: July 3, 2001Inventors: Paul D. Crunk, Peter J. Crunk, Katherine A. Crunk

Patent number: 6199027Abstract: An engine tachometer device for determining the revolutions per minute of an engine which generates sparks and has a predetermined configuration. A computer memory is utilized for storing engine configuration data. The engine configuration data associates engine configurations with predetermined equations. An engine configuration selector selects from the computer memory one of the engine configurations which is indicative of the configuration of the engine. An engine characteristic calculator which is connected to the engine and to the engine configuration selector and to the computer memory determines the revolutions per minute of the engine based upon the generated sparks and upon the equation associated with the selected engine configuration. Accordingly, the device accurately monitors the RPM of all configurations of engines.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 1998Date of Patent: March 6, 2001Inventors: Paul D. Crunk, Michael Zarucki

Patent number: 6150765Abstract: A signaling lamp flasher generates audible sound while controlling intermittent contact between a vehicle power source and a signaling lamp. A flash control device generates the intermittent contact, and is preferably an input relay disposed between the power source and the signaling lamp. An IC-based audible flash circuit generates a control pulse in response to the voltage pulse from the power source, generates a buzzer pulse in response to the control pulse, and generates audible sound in response to the buzzer pulse. The signaling lamp flasher also provides current overload protection at the signaling lamp through a pop-out resettable fuse. The location and ability of the fuse to be reset provides improved dependability and serviceability.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 1998Date of Patent: November 21, 2000Inventor: Paul D. Crunk
