Patent number: 10709270Abstract: A lid assembly adapted to be removably secured to a container includes a base portion having a fluid aperture, and a ridge portion extends from a top surface of the base portion. A button member is coupled to the base portion, and depressing the button member from a closed position to an open position displaces a seal member of a seal assembly away from the fluid aperture so that fluids may pass from the interior of the container through the fluid aperture. A locking assembly includes a cover portion coupled to the base portion, and when the cover portion is in a locked position, an engagement portion engages a recess on the button member to prevent displacement out of the closed position. When the cover portion is rotated into an unlocked position, the engagement portion disengages the recess, thus allowing the button member to displace to the open position.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2016Date of Patent: July 14, 2020Assignee: IGNITE USA, LLCInventors: David Joseph, Blair Miller, Paul D. Hurley, Todd Starr

Patent number: 10420433Abstract: A liquid container lid assembly includes a straw having an internal one-way valve and a grommet seal for sealing against the straw. As a result, the disclosed liquid container lid assembly allows a consumer (such as a child) to drink from the straw while preventing accidental spillage without the need for the child to manipulate any part of the lid assembly (such as a lock or valve release). In other words, the liquid container lid assembly is always in a no-spill configuration while simultaneously allowing a consumer to drink from the straw.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2016Date of Patent: September 24, 2019Assignee: IGNITE USA, LLCInventors: Robert C. Coon, Paul D. Hurley

Patent number: 10336510Abstract: A drink bottle may include a container, a lid connected to the container and including a lid housing, a spout coupled to the lid housing, and an actuator assembly movably connected to the lid housing. The spout is movable between a stowed configuration and a dispensing configuration, the spout defining a passageway in fluid communication with an interior of the container when disposed in the dispensing configuration. The actuator assembly is operatively coupled to the spout when the spout is disposed in the stowed configuration to retain the spout in the stowed configuration, and the spout moves from the stowed configuration to the dispensing configuration responsive to actuation of the actuator assembly.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2017Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: IGNITE USA, LLCInventors: Sami El-Saden, Daniel M. Wodka, Robert C. Coon, Paul D. Hurley

Publication number: 20170251848Abstract: A portable beverage container includes a container base adapted to store a liquid, a lid removably coupled to the base, a design element support structure, and a design element. The design element support structure is removably coupled to the lid to allow an end user of the portable beverage container to drink the liquid stored in the container base. The design element support structure is arranged in a fluid aperture defined by the lid such that a first portion of the design element support structure is arranged in the container base and a second portion of the drinking element is arranged outside of the container base. The design element is adapted to movably travel on the first portion of the design element support structure and is configured to float on the liquid stored in the container base.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2017Publication date: September 7, 2017Inventors: Robert C. Coon, Paul D. Hurley
