  • Patent number: 8495834
Abstract: A method of powering an obstruction detector. Power is provided to an obstruction detector when a motor is executing a first movement and is suppressed to the obstruction detector when the motor is idle and when the motor is executing a second movement. The first movement moves a movable barrier towards a closed position, and the second movement moves the barrier towards an open position.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: July 30, 2013
    Assignee: Linear LLC

  • Publication number: 20110214344
Abstract: A greenhouse comprising at least one elongate self supporting tube having a wall defining an interior space. The at least one elongate tube is formed from a light transmissive material to permit plant growth within said interior space. The at least one tube is supported by a base support system. A plurality of tubes may be arranged into an assembly shaped like a pyramid. Growing medium and/or at least one solar panel may be disposed in the interior space of the topmost tube. One or a plurality of assemblies may be attached to a building to form a facility. A plurality of facilities may be arranged in proximity to one another.

  • Patent number: 7208897
Abstract: A system for operating a barrier system such as a garage door, gate or fence. A DC motor is connected to and operates a barrier drive. A power amplifier is configured to receive power signals from a power supply and to output modulated DC signals to the DC motor. A controller implements an intelligent closed-loop motion control algorithm to control the power amplifier according to a non-linear motion profile. A feedback sensor provides status signals to the controller to determine position or speed of the barrier.
