  • Patent number: 5515301
Abstract: A 3D model of a subject is acquired. Sensors spatially located on the subject are displayed on the 3D model in their appropriate locations. An operator selects the proper viewing angle and sensors to monitor via input devices. A 3D modeler in a display processor provides an image viewed from the proper angle and identifies the selected sensors. The 3D modeler identifies the data channels which correspond to the selected sensors and provides these to a system control computer which then provides the samples for these data channels. The 3D modeler also identifies a screen location which pertains to the locations of the selected sensors on the model. A postage stamp trace unit receives the samples for the selected data channels and the screen locations pertaining to the selected sensor locations of the image of the model and produces a video signal representing a window having a number of real-time traces each pertaining to a sensor.

  • Patent number: 5462159
Abstract: A media disk storage container includes a lid and a base connected by a hinge, both the lid and the base having inner and outer surfaces for receiving separate sheets of printed paperboard. The outer surfaces of the lid and base are recessed to protect the paperboard sheets adhered thereto from being damaged by contact with other surfaces. The base includes a recessed spine for receiving an extension of the paperboard sheet which covers the outer surface of the base, so that identifying printed matter can be displayed on the spine. Likewise, the lid includes a recessed section along its upper sidewall for receiving an extension of the printed paperboard sheet which covers the outer surface of the lid.

  • Patent number: 5452750
Abstract: A method of recovering fuel vapors using a fuel dispenser having first and second sets of associated liquid flow lines, vapor flow lines, nozzles and nozzle rests includes removing the first nozzle from the first nozzle rest, inserting the first nozzle into a fill pipe of a receptacle, moving the first nozzle rest, thereby transmitting motion through a mechanical linkage from the first nozzle rest to a first normally-closed valve in the first vapor flow line to open the first normally-closed valve and turning on a first pump in the first liquid fuel line, pumping liquid fuel from a first tank through the dispenser out the first nozzle into the receptacle, and pumping fuel vapor from the first nozzle through the first vapor flow line to a manifold which has a connection to the second vapor flow line and communicates with the tanks, the second vapor flow line being closed by its normally-closed vapor valve.

  • Patent number: 5345979
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing volatile liquid fuel with recovery of fuel vapors includes a fuel delivery system having a fuel delivery line and a pump in the line to pump fuel there-along to a nozzle. A vapor recovery subsystem includes a vapor return line from the nozzle and a vapor impulsion means to induce vapor to flow through the vapor return line at a vapor flow rate comparable to the liquid flow rate through the fuel delivery line during most of a fueling operation. A vapor impulsion booster boosts the vapor flow rate above the liquid flow rate early in a fueling operation.

  • Patent number: 5284242
Abstract: A package structure for a recording medium or other items is composed of a plastic support frame and a laminated flexible body. The package structure consists of a molded plastic frame having two sections forming the lid and the base of the package, separated by a hinge which allows the lid and base sections to fold together to close the package. In a preferred embodiment, the package body is formed of a folded paperboard blank. The plastic frame is slotted at opposite ends to allow the paperboard blank to extend through the frame from outside to inside. The blank is folded at the slots, and is folded onto itself to form the surfaces of the package. The frame is formed with recesses adapted to receive the body surfaces to protect the surfaces and the edges of the outer body surfaces. The portions of the body which respectively form the inner and outer surfaces of the lid, and the inner and outer surfaces of the base are secured together and/or to the corresponding frame section.

  • Patent number: 5025928
Abstract: A travel case includes a base portion that defines a first compartment with organizer structure therein, and support structure for securing the travel case on a support bar or the like, the organizer structure having a plurality of chambers for receiving toiletry components of diverse shapes and sizes in frictionally secured relation. The case also has a cover portion that defines a second compartment with releasable strap structure for securing a shaving system that includes a razor handle and a storage member that carries a plurality of razor cartridges against the inner surface of the top wall of the cover. Hinge structure that connects the rear wall of the base portion and the rear wall of the cover portion allows convenient accessibility to the razor and toiletry components when the case is open, and closure structure holds corresponding surfaces of the base and cover portions in juxtaposed relation when the case is closed.

  • Patent number: 5015114
Abstract: A modular binder ring is disclosed having a disk shaped central portion, an aperture formed substantially in the center of the central portion, and an annular outer rim formed on the periphery of the central portion. The outer rim includes an arcuately shaped outer surface configured as an outer segment of a circle, and has an axial width greater than the axial width of a central portion. Further, there is disclosed a loose leaf modular binder system comprising at least two modular binder rings, with a spine rod extending through the aligned apertures, capable of binding a plurality of loose leaf paper sheets of different lengths and widths. The paper sheets have die cut perforations on one edge sized to fit about the outer rim of the binder rings. The spine rod enables the bound pages to be removably suspended from a storage rack. In another embodiment, the pages are bound to the binder rings without the spine rod extended through the apertures.
