  • Patent number: 11684832
Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads with apertures and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a golf club head comprises a face portion, a back portion generally opposite the face portion, a heel portion extending between the face portion and the back portion, a toe portion opposite the heel portion and extending between the face portion and the back portion, and a crown portion extending between the face portion, the back portion, the heel portion, and the toe portion, the crown portion comprising a plurality of crown aperture. The crown portion comprises a first region and a second region, wherein the first region is nearer to the face portion than the second region, the first region and the second region are separated by a bell-shaped curve. The bell-shaped curve is located a distance D1 from the face portion and the second region comprises a recess portion. The plurality of crown apertures is defined within the recessed portion.

  • Publication number: 20230123898
Abstract: Various embodiments of a golf club senor housing are described herein. The sensor housing can include a cover and a base that enclose a sensor therebetween. The sensor housing can be designed to sit on the end of a grip in a position that is non-obtrusive to the user. The sensor housing can further be configured to minimizes the impact on the center of gravity (CG) of the golf club by including mass reducing features. The sensor housing is also configured to sit lower on the grip and reduce the length that it projects outward from the grip butt end. Reducing the added length from the sensor housing creates a less-obtrusive feature.

  • Publication number: 20230108761
Abstract: A system includes a processor configured for leveraging reference ball flight data associated with an individual and a reference club having a reference loft angle to compute predicted ball flight characteristics for other candidate golf clubs having loft angles different from the reference loft angle. The predicted ball flight characteristics include predicted distances of golf shots the individual is expected to make using the candidate golf clubs that can further accommodate a computed recommendation of optimal loft angles for a consistently gapped golf club set.
