  • Publication number: 20170035190
Abstract: An on-hand attachment band positions a computing device, smart watch, or conventional watch on a position in the hand to provide a preferable viewing angle. The on-hand attachment band positions a device on the top of the hand proximate the thumb. The attachment band has a loop to which a device can attach, and one or more straps to attach the attachment band to a wearer.

  • Publication number: 20110036657
Abstract: A chassis for an electric vehicle includes a frame structure comprising two beam members arranged side-by-side with a gap therebetween. Each of the beam members includes a front end connected to the front end of the other beam member and forms a head tube for pivotally retaining a portion of a fork assembly holding a front wheel of the electric vehicle. Each of the beam members includes a rear end fixedly connected to a motor housing. The gap between the beam members is configured for holding one or more battery modules therein. The chassis also includes a swing arm assembly including a front end connected at a pivot point to the motor housing. The swing arm assembly includes a rear end holding a rear wheel of the electric vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070294881
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a planar sensor, comprises disposing a film of a material on a substrate, wherein the material is selected from the group consisting of platinum, rhodium, palladium and mixtures and alloys comprising at least one of the foregoing materials; annealing the material; measuring a resistance value of the material; laser trimming the annealed material; heat treating the laser trimmed material; and laser trimming the heat treated material to form the sensor.

  • Publication number: 20070028731
Abstract: A method for severing a solid-oxide fuel cell bi-layer element including a structural anode and an electrolyte layer, comprising the steps of orienting the bi-layer element such that the surface thereof is accessible to laser treatment; impinging a laser beam on the electrolyte surface; moving the impinged laser beam past the surface along a path in a plane corresponding to the desired severed edge to form a groove in the element extending partially through the element to a predetermined depth; and applying a bending moment across the groove to cause the element to break into first and second portions. The groove depth is preferably about 15% of the total thickness of the element.

  • Patent number: 6791094
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a direction or parallelism of a beam. The beam can be any type of beam, including uncharged or charged particle beams or electromagnetic radiation beams. The beam can have any desired size or shape and can be scanned or fixed in place. A direction or parallelism of the beam can be determined by adjusting an intensity profile of at least a portion of the beam at a first position. The adjusted intensity profile can be formed, for example, by blocking a portion of the beam at the first position. The adjusted intensity profile can be formed by a special purpose device, such as a mask, adjustable aperture, etc., or by another device having a separate purpose. For example, a beam modifier used to form the adjusted intensity profile can be a detector used to determine a measure of uniformity of the beam.
