Abstract: A storage and distribution method and system for a gaseous commodity such as hydrogen comprises a plurality of sensors for measuring quantity and purity of the gas produced, or that is stored or being delivered in vessels, and a gateway which communicates sensor data to a distribution system. The distribution system analyzes the data to determine the real time availability and available locations of gas of the desired purity, taking into consideration the sensor data, degradations, and the effects of dispensing, replenishing and mixing of supplies. The distribution system also provides delivery routing according to proximity and purity requirements.
