  • Patent number: 7032935
Abstract: The self energizing tube connector for engaging a pressurizable part made of a tube capable of sustaining pressures up to 50,000 psi without deforming is made of an upstream tube end and a downstream tube end; a ferrule with a front and rear ferrule, a lifting component that engages the front ferrule to cause a upstream seal to form between pressurizable part and tube, and a downstream seal to form between the front ferrule and the tube; and a coupling nut for sliding over the tube and disposed downstream of the rear ferrule for engaging the pressurizable part, wherein the coupling nut is adapted to tighten against the rear ferrule, front ferrule, and lifting mechanism to compress the rear ferrule, front ferrule, and lifting mechanism against the pressurizable part and the tube.

  • Publication number: 20060056366
Abstract: A network communication system includes a wireless independent secure local area network design (ISLAND) LAN-to-LAN tunnel terminal that provides a communications link to an access point of a primary network. A network control center, connected to the primary network, continuously monitors the wireless ISLAND LAN-to-LAN tunnel terminal and an alarm is set off when an outage occurs—such as caused by the wireless ISLAND being powered down. The wireless ISLAND may be enclosed in a hardened, portable case subject to security procedures. A method for establishing a secure communications link using a wireless ISLAND LAN-to-LAN tunnel terminal may include providing requirements that consider the wireless ISLAND to be a component of network infrastructure and not an end user client device, providing controls for physical access to the wireless ISLAND, and providing procedures for ensuring the security of the wireless ISLAND and the communications link that it provides.

  • Publication number: 20050084668
Abstract: The present invention includes magnetic write elements with portions formed a nanophase high magnetic moment material to enable further increases in areal density in magnetic recording. The nanophase deposited high magnetic moment material comprises coated nanoclusters and nanolaminated cluster films that are deposited to form nanophase high magnetic moment material portions of a write pole and SUL layer in perpendicular recording media. The nanophase write poles exhibit high magnetic moments and are generally compatible with conventional writer head fabrication techniques.
