  • Publication number: 20220207565
Abstract: Methods for in-vehicle contextual promotions are described herein. In a first method a driver receives an in-vehicle promotion (for either food or fuel) based on a time of day, their location, route, favorite items, favorite vendors, and nearby vendors. The driver taps the promotion and receives a list of favorite items. The driver makes a selection of the favorite items, makes a payment for the selected product using an e-wallet, and picks up the selected product. In a second method, the driver may receive an in-vehicle promotion, including a “remind me later” link. When the user taps on the link, they may then access the promotion at a later time on their mobile phone app outside of the vehicle. The user taps on the saved link and is redirected to a vendor's website. The user may make a purchase for a product at the vendor's website at this later time.

Abstract: Methods and a system for in-vehicle contextual promotions are described herein. In a first method a driver receives in-vehicle promotions on a predetermined route and user-defined favorite vendors. The driver taps on the promotion and receives a list of favorite items. The driver makes a selection of one of the favorite items, makes a payment for the selected product using an e-wallet, and picks up the selected product. The driver may also receive loyalty rewards. In a second method, the driver may receive an in-vehicle promotion, including a “remind me later” link. When the user taps on the link, they may access the promotion at a later time on the user's mobile phone app. The user taps on the saved link and is redirected to a vendor's website. The user may make a purchase for a product at the vendor's website at this later time.

  • Patent number: 9418015
Abstract: Among other things, one or more techniques and/or systems are provided for storing data within a hybrid storage aggregate comprising a lower-latency storage tier and a higher-latency storage tier. In particular, frequently accessed data, randomly accessed data, and/or short lived data may be stored (e.g., read caching and/or write caching) within the lower-latency storage tier. Infrequently accessed data and/or sequentially accessed data may be stored within the higher-latency storage tier. Because the hybrid storage aggregate may comprise a single logical container derived from the higher-latency storage tier and the lower-latency storage tier, additional storage and/or file system functionality may be implemented across the storage tiers. For example, deduplication functionality, caching functionality, backup/restore functionality, and/or other functionality may be provided through a single file system (or other type of arrangement) and/or a cache map implemented within the hybrid storage aggregate.

  • Patent number: 9015970
Abstract: A convertible bucket includes a central support frame. A pair of rigid wings are rotationally mounted on laterally opposite sides of the lower end of the support frame for rotation of each wing between their fully lowered and raised positions. The pair of rigid wings define a wide-mouth width therebetween. In the fully lowered position each wing is substantially horizontal when the support frame is substantially vertical, so that, when the wings are both in their fully lowered position, the wide-mouth width is maximized. A winglet may be mounted at a distal end of each wing so as to provide for containment of a load held in the bucket when at least one wing is in its fully lowered position.

  • Patent number: 7832128
Abstract: A one-pass bucket includes a top wall, a bottom wall, a rear wall and a pair of side walls diverging forwardly from the rear wall to an open front end of the bucket, wherein the curved end walls extend convexly from the bottom wall to the top of the end wall at a forward edge thereof, and extending substantially diagonally upwardly from the bottom at a rearward edge so that the forward edge of the curved end wall curves upwardly towards the plane of the top wall so as to intersect the plane of the top wall non-tangentially and the rearward edge extends diagonally to intersect the plane of the top wall whereby a round bottom ditch is formed by rotating one of the curved end walls down and dragging that curved end wall through the soil longitudinally of the proposed ditch in a single pass.

  • Patent number: 7191553
Abstract: A one-pass bucket for digging a ditch by moving the bucket with its curved end down longitudinally of the proposed ditch, wherein the bucket includes a top wall, a bottom wall, a rear wall and a side wall diverging forwardly from the rear wall to an open front end of the bucket, the side wall being planar and defining a sharp acutely-angled corner with the bottom wall, the curved end wall, opposite the first side wall, extends convexly from the bottom wall to said top end at a forward edge thereof, and extending substantially diagonally upwardly therefrom at a rearward edge so that the forward edge of the curved end wall curves upwardly towards the plane of the top wall so as to intersect it non-tangentially and the rearward edge extends diagonally to intersect the plane of the top wall whereby a round bottom ditch is formed by rotating said curved end wall downwardly relative to the acutely angled corner and dragging the curved end wall through the soil longitudinally of the proposed ditch in a single pass.

  • Publication number: 20040226519
Abstract: A farm animal feed management system that can be used to order feed and adjust rations automatically. A local database transmits animal, production, and ration data for analysis by a service provider such as a nutritionist, veterinarian or feed supplier. The service provider can compare this data to other farms, and use such information to adjust rations, order feed or suggest examination by a veterinarian. Alternatively, the local database transmits the data to a first remote database that transmits the data to a service provider. Comparisons between farms and other data analysis can be done at the first remote database.
