  • Patent number: 5758818
Abstract: The present invention relates to a container which may be dividable into first and second segmented compartments. The dividable container includes a one piece body member, a cover member, and a base member. The body member defines the first and second compartments which each include an interior wall having a top edge and two side edges. A side wall, having first and second segments, extends from the side edges to form portions of two different sides of the container. The top edges of the interior walls are at least partially connected. The cover and base members include top and bottom portions, respectively, and a plurality of flaps for contacting and attaching to, respectively, the wall segments. The cover member, base member, and top edges of the interior walls may be severed along a plane located between the interior walls to form the segmented first and second compartments.

  • Patent number: 5758790
Abstract: A plastic bottle-shaped container comprises a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion includes a neck area having a neck wall extending toward and then away from the center of the container when proceeding along its length to form a neck grip to allow a user to grasp the container. The bottom portion, which extends from the top portion, has a front wall, a back wall and side walls. Each side wall of the bottom portion has a recess. The recesses of the side walls together define a side grip to allow the user to grasp the container at the side walls.

  • Patent number: 5452628
Abstract: A drill bit for drilling holes in a work surface including a hard wear-resistant insert and a metal body including a top working surface of an irregular surface configuration having a slot for retaining the hard wear-resistant insert. The body having a metal grain structure substantially parallel with the contour of the body. In a preferred embodiment the body is formed by cold-heading.

  • Patent number: 5314279
Abstract: A locking threaded fastener of the wedge-action type is disclosed with threaded and threadless nut members with wedge elements therebetween for wedging the nut members apart when the threaded nut member is turned in the loosening direction. In a two-piece nut, the threadless nut member has a flat inner surface for engaging the workpiece and the wedge elements have engaging surfaces with a coefficient of friction therebetween which is less than that between the flat inner surface and the workpiece surface. In a three-piece nut, a third nut member, in the form of a washer, is provided with a flat inner surface for engaging the workpiece. The wedge elements have engaging surfaces with a coefficient of friction less than that between the third nut member and the threadless nut member which, in turn, is less than that between the third nut member in the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 5108238
Abstract: A torque limiting bolt for tightening by a power wrench comprises a threaded shank, a tightening head at one end of the shank, a retaining head at the other end of the shank and a nut in threaded engagement with the threaded shank, the tightening head being an eight point head having sixteen external facets of equal size and uniform spacing around the circumference of the head. The power wrench is provided with oppositely rotatable inner and outer sockets engaging the driving head and the nut, respectively, the inner socket being an eight point socket having sixteen internal facets.

  • Patent number: 4627665
Abstract: A pick type bit is disclosed with an improved socket for a carbide insert. The cutter body of the bit is cold-headed from a steel blank to provide a cylindrical shank and a conical head with a socket in the forward end. The cylindrical shank is roll-formed to provide a retaining groove and an intermediate section is roll-formed to provide an extraction groove between the head and the shank. The cold-heading includes an initial step of squaring-up the forward end of the blank by cold-heading it into cylindrical shape with a flat forward end and then punching the socket. This provides a socket of densified work-hardened steel. The bit is completed by brazing the base of a carbide insert in mating relation with the socket in the head.
