    Abstract: A system and a method for determining an amount of pressure applied by an occupant on a vehicle seat are provided. The method includes receiving signals from a pressure transducer, a temperature sensor, and a belt tension sensor. The method further includes determining a compensated pressure value indicative of the amount of pressure applied to the vehicle seat based on the signals from the pressure transducer, the temperature sensor, and the belt tension sensor.
