Patent number: 9660334Abstract: A collapsible ground plane for a mobile UHF satcom antenna mounted on a riser comprises a hub and a plurality of conductive members, some of which extend radially from the hub with additional conductive members that extend peripherally between adjacent distal ends of the radially extending conductive members. Each conductive member is flexible so as to yield upon an impact, and return to its original shape when the impact is relieved.Type: GrantFiled: March 24, 2015Date of Patent: May 23, 2017Assignee: R.A. Miller Industries, Inc.Inventors: Abraham G. Corliss, Roger A. Cox, Paul E. Miller

Patent number: 9490524Abstract: A spring boot for use with an antenna comprises a cylindrical main body having an annular flange at the lower end thereof, and an annular rim at the upper end thereof. The flange has a plurality of mounting holes therethrough. The interior of the spring boot is hollow and is configured to match the shape of the antenna spring. When installed, the spring boot is fitted over the spring, and seated on an antenna mount, encircling the spring. Fasteners are installed through the mounting holes on the flange to affix the spring boot to corresponding bores in the mount. A washer is positioned atop the rim and is fixed between the antenna core and the spring. This configuration effectively constrains the spring boot between the core and the mount, so as to provide added damping to the antenna spring.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 2011Date of Patent: November 8, 2016Assignee: R.A. Miller Industries, Inc.Inventors: Paul E. Miller, Susan Kay Boelkins

Patent number: 9024829Abstract: A CB antenna arrangement for use in a raised roof of a truck cab enables the CB antenna to be hidden from view while maintaining good performance. An LC circuit is mounted in the space between the headliner and the raised dielectric roof and is connected to one of the metallic pillars of the truck cab. A CB antenna is connected to the LC circuit, and is mounted to and extends along the inside surface parallel to the driver's side or the passenger's side. The LC circuit is configured to block signals outside the CB frequency range, and the metallic pillar provides a ground plane for the CB antenna.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2013Date of Patent: May 5, 2015Assignee: R.A. Miller Industries, Inc.Inventors: John Jeremy Churchill Platt, Paul E. Miller

Publication number: 20130278760Abstract: A product advertisement system that includes a set of products and an endcap product display in a store, pharmacy, supermarket or other retail establishment. A video camera integrated into the product display records a video of an area in front of the display. Using a video and a set of processing components, the product display detects the presence of a consumer in front of the display and identifies a product held by the consumer. Based on the detected product, the product display produces and outputs a video presentation that educates the consumer on the benefits and characteristics of the detected product. The presentation includes a live stream of the video showing the consumer standing in front of the product display with the product.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2012Publication date: October 24, 2013Applicant: PHARMAVITE LLCInventors: Brian R.
