    Abstract: A shaped sound barrier component comprising a thermoplastic member highly loaded with barium sulfate (more than 200 to about 400 parts) and zinc oxide (1 to 500 parts). Preferably the thermoplastic contains 20 to 50 parts of chopped fibers per 100 parts of said thermoplastic although larger amounts can be used, for instance a 100 parts where the usage is severe.
