Abstract: Consumer data is securely obtained and offered to merchants or their agents in return for monetary compensation. The data's financial worth depends on whether a consumer provides anonymous, personally identifiable information, geo-tracking data, or mobile payment tracking data. The micropayments can be agreed upon in advance, bid on, or a combination of both. A necessary characteristic of the system is the safe and efficient flow of privacy data in return for micropayments that are securely made to consumers and able to be aggregated.
