  • Patent number: 7913424
Abstract: A shoe structure having an exterior upper, an interior upper, an insole and an outsole. The interior upper has an upper opening with a peripheral edge at the upper end of the interior upper and a lower opening with a peripheral edge at the lower sole-side end of the interior upper, with the interior upper also having a rear or heel area, two side areas and a front area with a seam running between the upper and lower openings. The seam runs from the upper opening on the one side over the front area to the lower opening on the other side.

  • Publication number: 20100132227
Abstract: Method for manufacturing a watertight, breathable shoe structure in which the shoe structure comprises an exterior upper with a lower end, an interior upper with a lower end, an insole with a continuous outer edge and an outsole, with the interior upper having a watertight, water vapour permeable functional layer on the side facing towards the exterior upper, characterised in that at least one of the sewn seam joints relating to the interior upper with the watertight, water vapour permeable functional layer is formed such that a tape made from a thermoplastic material is first placed between the parts of the shoe structure to be joined, in the area of the intended sewn seam, said tape having a melting temperature in the range from 60° C. to 85° C., that the parts are then sewn together and that after sewing the tape is caused to melt at least in the area of the sewn seam.

  • Publication number: 20080142428
Abstract: Evaporation reservoir for recovering purified water, with an interior for holding water to be purified, the interior enclosed by walls that are watertight and joined to each other in a watertight manner, at least one wall consisting at least partially of a laminate that has a textile fabric and a watertight, non-porous, and water-vapor permeable membrane, and with an opening for filling the interior, characterized in that at least one edge of the laminate is joined to an edge of the adjacent wall via a tensile-resistant, watertight tape in such a manner that the tensile-resistant, watertight tape is joined on the one hand to the textile fabric and on the other hand watertight to the membrane and extends beyond the edge of the laminate, and the watertight joint with the edge of the adjacent wall is formed exclusively by the part of the watertight tape that extends beyond the laminate.

  • Patent number: 7017284
Abstract: A waterproof shoe structure having an exterior upper (1), an interior upper including a waterproof, water vapor permeable functional layer (2a) arranged adjacent to the exterior upper (1) and a lining (2) facing the shoe interior, an insole (4, 4a, 4c) and an outsole (6), wherein the interior upper has a lower end region (2b) that extends at least for the most part beyond the lower end of the exterior upper, and which is joined on the one hand to the exterior upper (1) and on the other hand to the insole (4, 4a, 4c). The lower end region of the interior upper that extends beyond the exterior upper (1) is folded outwards in such a way that the functional layer in the entire end region (2b) is turned back on itself, and the interior upper has a lower edge arising from this folding, that the free end of the outwardly folded interior upper is joined to the exterior upper (1), and that the lower edge of the interior upper is joined to the insole (4, 4a, 4c).

  • Patent number: 6820352
Abstract: A shoe structure includes an upper made of an outer material, a waterproof and water vapor permeable functional layer, a lining, an insole, and an injection-molded sole. The upper has an extension made of a porous, permeable material and the insole is joined to the extension of the upper. The functional layer and the lining extend beyond a lower edge of the upper and only partially overlap the extension of the upper. The functional layer is spaced from an edge of the insole and the extension of the upper is penetrated by the material of the sole. A part of the functional layer extending beyond a lower edge of the upper is joined to the material of the sole, and a space between the functional layer and the edge of the insole is filled with the material of the sole as far as the interior of the shoe structure.
