Abstract: A structural connector for joining mass timber structural components is disclosed. The structural connector is made of a material comprising concrete. In some embodiments, the material comprises reinforced concrete. One or more mounting channels dimensioned for a fastener to insert there through may be defined within the concrete. The fastener may be configured to fixedly secure the connector to the timber structural components that are desired to be joined. In some embodiments, one or more reinforcing members are embedded in the concrete, which may be in addition to fiber reinforcing in the connector. The described connector may be used to join two or more of timber purlins, beams, columns, posts, walls, etc. to form a structural assembly.

Abstract: A server system may include a request handler and a database generator. The request handler may receive at least one request from a mobile client device on a user side or from a source server. If the request handler determines that the at least one request requires an initialization of a first mobile database in the mobile client device on the user, the database generator may generate a second mobile database in the server system populated with corresponding requested data from the source server, and the request handler may transmit the second mobile database with the corresponding requested data as a file to the mobile client device. The file of the second mobile database may be stored on the mobile client device as the first mobile database.

Abstract: A portable, sun and wind shield having a flexible covering material and a collapsible frame for supporting said covering material is disclosed. The collapsible frame is comprised of at least two resilient support members secured at their respective ends by connecting means. An adjustable tensioning means is secured at the connecting means and is adapted to draw together the ends of the resilient support. The covering material is spanned between the resilient support members such that when the resilient support ends are drawn together and rotated in opposite direction about the connecting means, the covering material becomes tautly stretched.
