  • Publication number: 20220068496
Abstract: A method for intraoperative state analysis and classification of articular tissue comprising the steps of: sensing data of the articular tissue via a plurality of sensors situated in proximity to the articular tissue for detecting a response to a stimulus; determining state analysis and classification information through a verified means; processing the sensed data into a form adapted to be evaluated against a comparator; generating a means of predicting the state analysis and classification utilizing a historical dataset of processed information; and performing the state analysis and classification using the generated means based on processing the stimulus response obtained intraoperatively.

  • Publication number: 20210128247
Abstract: Systems and methods for intraoperative implant fit analysis and longevity prediction for a prosthetic implant to be integrated with the physiological tissue of a patient, the method comprising the steps of: collection of data via a plurality of sensors situated in proximity to the tissue and implant and a plurality of data sources; determining tissue and implant state and morphology based on the collected data; generating compatibility information between the tissue and implant based on the determined tissue and implant state and morphology; processing compatibility information into a form adapted for evaluation against a pre-determined comparator; generating a means of predicting postoperative implant performance and longevity utilising the historical dataset of comparison information and postoperative results; and generating and providing corrective information for alteration of the tissue state and morphology for improved postoperative implant performance and longevity.

  • Patent number: 4059860
Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming shouldered tubular rivets is disclosed in which three forming operations are provided, two of which are performed in a single die station. In the first operation, the head end of the blank is squared and the inner end is trapped extruded. In the second operation, both the shoulder and the inner end of the blank are squared. During such second operation, the volume required to form the entire shank is confined within the die and the projecting portion of the blank is headed so that variations in blank volume appear as variations in the head. In the last or third operation, the tubular section is extruded on the inner end of the blank. An apparatus for performing the method is disclosed which permits the accurate positioning of a sleeve and an extrusion pin with respect to the die during the second operation to insure proper squaring of the inner end of the blank and the confinement of the exact volume of material required to form the entire shank of the rivet.
