  • Patent number: 9775328
Abstract: A combination strap or collar and bottle opener device that may be designed to have a short height and/or width and may include a combination attachment member and bottle opener. The bottle opener may be made in a number of different shapes, for example, a D shape (including D-ring), an oval shape, etc. A plastic quick-release coupling device may be included as a clasp system for selectively and releasably coupling two or more strap areas or ends together. The combination attachment mechanism and bottle opener may include a generally flat frame body having a first opening and a second opening, the first opening may be smaller than the second opening and may be separated by an intermediate or first linking member at a first end of the frame body, a second linking or cross member, and a third linking or cross member at a second end of the frame body.

  • Patent number: 9179648
Abstract: A combination dog collar and bottle opener device includes a two-ply strap and combination D-ring and bottle opener. The strap includes a first ply of rubber, preferably recycled from an inner tube. The second ply is mechanically stitched using an interwoven thread to the first ply. A plastic quick-release coupling device acts as a clasp system for selectively and releasably coupling a strap first end to a strap second end. The combination D-ring and bottle opener comprises a generally flat frame body having a first arm and a second arm, a first linking member connecting the first and second arms at a first end of the frame body and a second linking member at a second end of the frame body. An intermediate linking member arranged generally parallel to the first and second linking members and being located at an intermediate position includes a radius bottle pry and offset grooves.

  • Patent number: 9027515
Abstract: A slider device includes a slider frame having a top rail and a bottom rail. A first parallel member connects the top and bottom rails and arranges generally perpendicular to the top and bottom rails, but lies in a common plane. A second parallel member disposes or arranges at an end of the frame opposite from the first parallel member. The second parallel member links or connects between the top and bottom rails. A third parallel member arranges intermediate to the first and second parallel member. A D-shaped ringlet couples to the frame adjacent to the first parallel member. The ringlet and frame lie in a common plane.

  • Patent number: 8984725
Abstract: An improved buckle device for a limited release application such as a pet collar, which includes a buckle assembly having a cover having a top with a downward turn release lip. The release lip, in the closed position, does not extend past the frame member and is recessed within the sidewalls and bottom wall of the frame. The cover includes high-positioned ledges that cause a cam latch to release a clasp from the buckle only when the cover has traveled at least about 80-degress from horizontal. The cover hingeably mounts to a frame by means of a pin. The latch is supported by the pin. Tension against the cover is provided by a first biasing member and the latch cam is forced downward by a second biasing member.

  • Publication number: 20080169321
Abstract: A pack with a hydration system is disclosed. The hydration system includes a reservoir and a hose. The reservoir comprises a front side and a rear side that maintain a fixed cross section as liquid is filled and/or drained from the reservoir. Also, as the reservoir empties, the rear side contracts towards the front side, which displaces the center of mass of the reservoir closer to a wearer's back.

  • Publication number: 20070262106
Abstract: A strap may include a sheath and a fluid-filled bladder at least partially located within the sheath. The bladder has an elongate configuration that defines a first end, an opposite second end, and a central portion located between the first end and the second end. At least the central portion and the second end being unsecured to the sheath. In addition, the strap may include a pair of securing elements configured to join the strap to an article, and at least one of the securing elements may be joined to the second end of the bladder.

  • Patent number: 6502850
Abstract: A core for incorporation into a gliding board, such as a snowboard. The core includes longitudinal and transverse core segments with long grain configurations that are combined to adjust the edge hold and maneuverability of the board to accommodate particular riding characteristics. The core segments include anisotropic structures that are oriented relative to the orthogonal axes of the board to achieve the desired core characteristics. The transverse core segments are located along the side edges of the core and oriented to tune to the core edges for a particular edge hold and overall board maneuverability.
