  • Publication number: 20080062332
Abstract: An apparatus (100) such as a television signal receiver processes a pilot signal to enable, among other things, proper generation of an L?R stereo difference signal. According to an exemplary embodiment, the apparatus (100) includes a signal source (702) operative to provide a pilot signal, and a processing circuit (704-724) operative to process the pilot signal to generate a first processed pilot signal having an AC component and a DC component. The processing circuit (704-724) uses the DC component to control a signal parameter of the AC component and generate a second processed pilot signal that may be used to generate the L?R stereo difference signal.

  • Patent number: 4513322
Abstract: A switching network for selectively supplying current to a clamping capacitor comprises a pair of output transistors with outputs coupled to the clamp capacitor, a pair of control transistors respectively coupled to the output transistors, and a pair of equal value bias resistors included in output circuits of the control transistors for determining the bias of the output transistors. When the control transistors conduct, the control transistors conduct equal output currents, equal currents flow in the bias resistors, and bias voltages developed across the bias resistors exhibit equal rates of change with a sense for rendering the output transistors non-conductive simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 4502079
Abstract: A signal clamping and sampling system wherein signals to be sampled are applied to a voltage amplifier The output of the voltage amplifier is coupled in common to the inputs of first and second matched operational transconductance amplifiers (OTA's). s). During an initial clamping reference interval, the first OTA conducts to form a feedback clamping network for establishing input and output reference bias conditions for the voltage amplifier. The second OTA conducts during a subsequent sampling interval for processing signals to be sampled. The output reference bias of the voltage amplifier determines substantially identical input bias conditions for both the first and second OTA's, thereby significantly reducing the likelihood of signal processing offset errors being produced as between the clamping and sampling intervals when the first and second OTA's are respectively conductive.

  • Patent number: 4482921
Abstract: A system for automatically controlling the bias of a kinescope in a television receiver comprises a clamping reference network including an input coupling capacitor, and a sampling amplifier. Signals to be sampled are coupled from the clamping capacitor to the amplifier by a level shifting network for providing signals compatible with the input requirements of the amplifier. The level shifting network is non-conductive at all times except during the kinescope bias control intervals, thereby effectively decoupling the clamping capacitor to prevent its being discharged.

  • Patent number: 4045748
Abstract: An audio control system for altering the frequency content of an audio signal with a d.c. control voltage. An audio signal is divided into a plurality of signal channels representing different portions of the audio signal frequency spectrum. Each signal channel is terminated by an attenuator which is responsive to a d.c. control voltage. The attenuated signals are then combined. By changing a d.c. control voltage a change in tone, volume, balance or loudness of an audio signal in a stereoamplifier or the like may be achieved.
